Hi folks,
just wondering something and need your help plz.

just bought a nib trex 700n DFC solo kit(RH70N07X) and planning to use all the parts of my 700E DFC ,i noticed that the rudder gear ratio is not the same. for the nitro it's a 4.95 and 4.73 for 700E.

What's gonna happen if i fly the wrong ratio with the nitro?

thx for ur advices guys

It depends on the headspeed that you end up running on the nitro. Too low and the tail will not be as responsive. You probably won't notice the difference.

If you use the 4.73 on the nitro you will need to run a higher head speed than normal.
Which will lower your run time . Or if you want to run slower you will need bigger tail blades to keep your tail authority

Anything above 4.5 should be ok, if you're running normal headspeeds.

E820, Raptor G4N, X50F/E, E620, Forza 450, and some planks.

1900 headspeed with the 4.73 ratio gives 8,987 RPM on the tail. That is perfect.

Might be a little trial and error testing. Calculating the tail rotor RPM allowing for your ratio change, I have got the tail to hold at 6,556 RPM. This is about 1400 RPM headspeed on your helicopter. Your motor would probably be happier at 1650 or 1700 RPM headspeed.

For 3D I would use with the headspeeds you posted.

ok thx
already flown electric at 1600 for normal fly and it's ok for hovering and translation, tail rudder is rock solid no issue at all.
my old YS91ST will be happy at this speed

now the most difficult part is to wait for the kit to be delivered to my step door!!

thx
