How long would you wait before requesting a paypal refund for itmes not shipped after you hace paid for them from this forum or any other heli forum? Is 5 days to long ? By the way, we both live in the same state 3hrs from one another.

PP gives you 180 days to dispute a transaction, so really it's up to your patience. No communication from seller?

Thats what worries me. When I pm'd with my request for pp address etc. He responded within the hr. Next time 3days later and yesterday I was supposed to have got a pk back with tracking. Nothing

It all depends on the amount of money. If it is a large amount, I would start to worry. Small amount, I would like to know what is going on. Some sellers are much better than others. I try to get packages out right away, but sometimes life interferes.

PP is pretty good about refunding, keep on top of it.

This is true. With me when I sell someting I have it ready to ship that night and get it out the next day and should that fall through I have it in the mail the following day. I stay in touch all the way through to keep the buyer at peace. I guess not all people think on these lines.

In my world, 5 days and 3 attempts at communication is absolutely enough time. The seller had "enough time" to advertise it and take your money, so there is ZERO reason in today's world (apart from death) that the seller cant find 2 minutes or less to communicate with the person from whom they've taken money. Heck, in today's mobile device world they can do it while sitting on the toilet taking a dump. It really is THAT easy.

File the dispute, get your money back, and move on.

You have more than enough cause for concern with the time you have given him with no response. Has he read your PM's and is ignoring you? That would be a huge red flag for me if so. What does his feedback indicate? I gotta tell you, unless all ten of my fingers are broken or my wife smashed my cell phone for some reason. .. I'm gonna shoot someone a PM on my mobile and tell them exactly the status of their item they paid me for until I ship it. I feel terrible when I take more than one day to ship. If I ever do for some reason I am sure to message and explain to the buyer exactly why.

I will wait for his paypal response to my refund request. should he try and pull a fast one on me I will reveal his username publicly.
I have sent him 3 pms today and two yesterday as well as over the weekend and have one reply from him that was a promise to mail it.

If it was me I'd be getting worried about now.

I have been very fortunate in that everyone except for one person many years ago have been honest sellers who do what they say and communicate during the deal.
The ones who took some time to ship always let me know what was going on but always delivered.

If no response to your recent PMs or emails, take action.

It is amaising how fast a response comes when a paypal despute is filed! He replied he sent it and provided a tracking number all of a sudden but had not replied to any of my receint pms!

I dont feel bad at all. When I sell something I stay in contact the whole way through. There is no excuse other than a family tragedy that any member here cannot receive or reply to their pm's all of us get email notices and alerts when an pm or reply to a post or thread is in. Comunication is huge in these instances.

I'd say 5 days is too impatient. You have plenty of time to dispute the claim. I'd wait a couple weeks and in the meantime be attempting communication.

With zero knowledge the package was sent and no comunication other than he was going out of town the day I payed for the item, I had nothing. With the weather being rough here I have made no trips to the post office. It turns out the package made it there. My issue is all of this worry and lack of communication could have been avoided had he simply just replied.
