Is there anyone who is currently selling or stocking new MinAir kits? I'm really wanting to make the jump from my defunct thundertiger fleet to something current and readily available but I'm not having good luck in my search so far. I see 'Pre Order' as stock status on all kits. Is that the same as backorder or does it mean these are made and shipped to order? Thanks in advance for any help.

Jack,

Talk to Scott at Cajun Aircraft. He's a good guy and will steer you in the right direction.

I don't know if he has kits in stock, but Cajun is the U.S. Distributor, and the folks with the answers. I'm not sure if you're referring to them has having them on pre-order or not. As for your other questions, your best bet is to ask Scott. I'd just be speculating!

Thanks for your advice JB. Yes, I just checked and Cajun shows them as 'Pre Order' as well. If anyone has a used Whiplash Gasser airframe they'd like to sell at a reasonable price please feel free to PM me.

Ok, I thought so. Shoot Scott an email; He's very responsive. Since they're the U.S. Distributor, you would be getting info directly from the horse's mouth.

Thanks for that Tom. Is the v1 really that bad/weak? I was just thinking I might be able to get an airframe a bit cheaper if people are now wanting the latest version or to upgrade.

V2 is not proven yet, but the design changes address the original issues. The tail gears have been improved to decrease chance of stripping, OWB moved to main shaft (the major issue) and a solid bell to cure the liner slipping.

The V1's flew very nice, the changes should help keep it in the air. The only thing I am not crazy about with the new design is the crown gear tail drive, time will tell on ease of the setup and durability.
