Sad to see him go. He really was the driving force behind their creative ideas and brand. Without him, it's just a team of mechanics and a douche bag owner that wants to be a celebrity more than produce a genuine quality product.

Looks like Aaron was tired of selling out while Richard Rawlings was more than happy to as long as he looked good on television doing it. I admire Aaron's integrity and commitment to his profession.

I used to really enjoy the show, but now it will go by the waste side in a similar fashion to Orange County Choppers...their tv series ended and so to did their success as a business because they grew too quickly without a solid foundation beyond television. I bet Richard Rawlings thinks that won't happen to him, but with the departure of Aaron, it already did.

Yay he is gone couldn't stand the wannabe hipster !

Fast and Loud is successful because of Richard Rawlings

Not because of Aaron

The show has about run its course

so everybody will say when Aaron left the show died

The truth is the show has been lacking for a while
and Aaron is jumping ship before it completely sinks

the show belonged to Richard... that was his biggest contribution...

but without Aaron, the core talent and thel catalyst for success of Gas Monkey is gone (Richard admits this in a few of the shows).

I dont blame him either, constant latenight projects, Richards inability to say no to a project, and likley the lions share of profit going to the owner rather than the talent. Aaron probably got a much better gig, making more money and with a hell of a lot less BS and stress and no camera crew to suck up to and be in his way.

now its just plain ol A$$ Monkey. (the upholsterers fav name for them)

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

I don't think its all about the cars like he tries to project
I think he will have his own show then everybody can call him a sell out also

I did not like the Aarons taste or style.

V6 in a Pantera? useless. 900hp V8 would have made it badazz

And his falcon? what a turd bucket for the cash he had into it.

Nothing personal but he will be easy to replace.

I really enjoyed the show at first but soon tired of the low rider giant tires style with airbags for each car.
Perfect example take a Ford GT that is worth big bucks, go the typical style and now no one wants the car.

I may be wrong but the most money Richard made on a deal was the rebuild of The two Pontiac Firebirds back to new original type condition, not from a resto-mod.

From what I was reading a few years ago was when Aaron started his own shop and was only staying on the show for the builds that were televised.
I liked a few of the episodes but quit watching anything regular.

the low rider giant tires
I can't stand those things, they sure don't belong on an old muscle car, or any car you build for street dragging, even a Rod in my opinion

my problem with any show like the Monkey is that there is to much yapping and not enough about the car and how things are put together.

BTW, did any one here see Jay Leno's garage when J tested Tim Allen's 68 Camaro, a beautiful car, and then after the drive Tim put down some rubber for J, well I saw the whole thing, and Tim lost it, Tim put to much to the tiers and the car got to-light on the rear, the car drifted and hit the curb, damaged the lower side in front of the rear tiers, and he must have damaged the rear suspension too cause the rims hit the curb hard,, it was a priceless thing to see LOL, loved it, that rich flunky smashing up that wonderful car, dumb a$$,, a few weeks later J had the part clipped out were Tim hits the curb LOL

I saw the video of Tim Allen wrecking his car.

Too many people think they can drive but soon find their car in a ditch or worse. Watch car fails on YouTube and you'll see videos of guys driving mustangs, vettes and other cars that spin out or slide out of control because they don't know how to handle horsepower.

I wish Aaron the best of luck in his new adventures.
