I just bought a new N5c TT kit here from another member. I have a new VBar Silverline I am going to use.

I have a couple of questions.

10 I have a TT x50 I am selling that has Futaba BLS 252's on cyclic and throttle, and a BLS 251 tail servo. Would those be good to use on this heli?

20 I have a BNIB OS50H motor. But I also have a used OS55HZ-H w/ Redline Smoothie pipe on the TT x50. Which would be best?

Thanks, Eugene

Servos will be good and I would go with the os55. N5c is an awesome heli, enjoy!

You are going to love the N5C. The servos should work fine. Just make sure you drop the voltage down for the 251.

Got it today and started the process!! I had a Torq tail servo. And luckily I had a mini BK tail servo I am going to use for the throttle. Had to do some slight filing to get it to go in because of the motor on the servo. I know it may be overkill, but what the heck!!

Got my OS 55HZ-H installed as well. I have a Redline pipe, but its not up to par. So I am looking for a new or near new pipe. HINT if anyone has 1!!!

Will order 3 new BK servos for cyclic. Then I will have everything for it. Will start tomorrow on the VBar and BEC. Plan on running at 8.4V's.

I have about 8 pair of 600 main blades. Even a pair of Rail 606mm's!

Really impressed at the engineering in this bird!!

A question, I have a Castle BEC Pro. Should I use a smaller mAh 3S lipo with it or just just run a 2S straight?

Thanks, Eugene

Ditch the BEC and go with a LIFE pack straight (delete the switch too)

I would suggest 623mm
- make a good thing even better
- you can drop the HS 200 rpm & up the collective 1.5 degree
- easier on the motor
- better flight time

BTW
I got a mint NC5 TT with OS.50 if you love this bird and want a backup.

I'm not 3D pilot. I will be starting over again. Been about 3 years since I last flew.

I have never had a Lifepack. What do you suggest?

I run a 2s 3500 on my N5c. The rail 606's will pull that bird nicely. Congrats!! Keep us updated on your first flight with it.

How did you mount your FBL? I have a Siverline VBar. Do I mount both pieces on the top rail or just the sensor?

When I ran a silverline I had the sensor on top of the servo tray, the battery on the slanted radio tray and the main unit on the side frame opposite of the throttle servo.

Oh dear. I feel really sorry for you. Get a second job or start selling stuff. You will need the money to buy fuel. 'Cause the N5c flies so nice, especially with the OS55HZ; it never, EVER breaks or wears out, and it just goes and goes and goes and goes. I used to have a sizable 401k. I liquidated it to buy fuel. Now I just recently bought an E5. I'm screwed.

Enjoy your N5c TT!! You may learn to "hate" Synergy just like me (http://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/t788079p1/)

Motor shims

You have put the shims on the outside of the engine, they are supposed to go between the mounts and the engine to line up the clutch stack.

Steve, I know your pain!! I have spent over $100 G's over the last 8-9 years. Worse than a drug habit.

AHHHH, I wondered why those where there. Thought they were just for added strength! Hehehe

A few more questions:

1) Do I need my Aerospire Multigov or is here a Gov mode in the VBar?

2) I have a Switchglo Pro. Do I hook it to an Aux channel so I can have a remote glo?

3) Should I use the rubber insulators and eyelets on the servos? I see some run with and some without.

If your vbar silverline has the pro version you can use the vbar gov. Yes you can use your switch pro.

Not yet. And I plan on upgrading it to Pro.

And I'm not much of a reader. More of a picture guy. Blame that on my dads collection back in the 70's!! Hehehe

Also replaced the throttle with a BK DS7005HV.
