Was out hovering and the piston on my OS hyper chipped and stalled the engine. Never had this happen before. Was used on a heli I purchased. Will get a new piston or might just get a whole new one. Engine was running great even though I had it a little rich.

Not most likely....Definitely a lean run.
your piston sleeve is worth inspecting too along with the head for any pitting from the chip.

Ok, must have been from the prior owner and finally fully broke on me. This thing was set to rich after I got it from him. I had set everything to factory. Sucks, risk you take with used stuff, but will say this is the first crapped used engine since I got into the RC hobby back in the early 2000.

Thanks for the input guys. There is a guy locally with a brand new for a little less than retail price.

Rowdog,, if I was you I would buy the engine in my link and mount your Hyper Head and your Hyper Carb on it, it will be a great deal for you,

I think the SX and the Hyper have the same cylinder liner,

I know the SX comes with bearings that are labeled

Factory needle settings don't guarantee a rich mixture. You could have an air leak or loose head bolts.

60% of the time, it works every time!

I will keep that in mind. There is a guy locally that has a NIB Hyper for $190. I will get in touch if I can not get his.

Yep I agree, but I will say this thing was bogged down pretty heavy so I am thinking it was damaged from the guy I purchased it from.
