I had to order a collar for the Century head as it didn't have it. Also 1 of the grips the bearings where notch, so I just ordered a whole grip assembly with a feathering shaft. That way I cover all the bases and have a spare grip for backup!!

Still waiting on the blade grip for the Century head. I called today and they gave me a tracking number. I checked it and it shows it has paperwork sent to post office, but not shipped yet... Not happy now..

I got a Vario swash follower from a gut in NJ. Seems to work great. This heli is nickel and dimeing me to death!!

Still a little unclear on it all. On the ball links on the 44mm turnbuckles, I used new TT ball links. The link total end to end measures 72mm. I have them turned in all the way. I think the links are longer than other ball links.

Then not clear on doing the phasing. Do I put 1 of the grips directly at the back then set it at 90 degrees and push the swash forward? And where should the swash be at on the main shaft, servo at, centered or does that matter?

And then a dumb question. Why can't I use an even shorter turnbuckle and set the grips at 90 degrees straight up and down with the servos centered? Or am I over thinking things because this is a multi blade head?

Sorry as I am still new to this.

I may just go back to the stock head and see how it works I guess. I sold the Skookum. So now I need to get a Naza-H soon as I get some extra cash.

Don't forget to put the collar on the base of the Century head and tighten it. The Jesus bolt only serves to keep the head located, it doesn't tighten the head block to the main shaft.

Maybe those ball links are to long. I used Align ball links that are like 18mm long which made the total link at 75mm end to end. You will need to leave yourself some adjusting room for getting zero pitch and blade tracking so it's not good to have only one direction of adjustment.

As for the phasing.. after you have got your links worked out. Put one blade grip at 90 degrees to the right frame side. Loosen the swash follower and and align that grips swash ball directly in front of the elevator swash ball link and tighten the swash follower again. This is 90 degree mechanically advanced. The phasing will be set.
Yes.. you can have the links straight down to the swash and not angled as long as your FBL controller will allow you to electronically set the phasing. I find that way of setting the phasing a little awkward.. because the servos will be moving totally diferent to what you are use too.

Ahhh, ok, thanks for the clarification Dennis.

So mine are 72mm total length. Is that ok?

WRONG
Sorry.. I measured those links after I adjusted them for something else.. Its more like 64mm. You could always put the grip to 90 and put a swash ball behind the elevator ball and tighten the follower and built the links to that.
