I got news for you....as time goes on the buzzer and the vibrator have gotten so weak that you can't hear nor feel either one when it goes off. This is no BS as time has gone on the alarms have gotten so weak they are useless on mine. I can't vouch for others but mine is nearly non existent. Has anyone else experienced this?

ok here is my two cents. I have a 14 and the buzzer is all but useless. when I fly my turbine I have to take along a separate timer that you can actually hear the dang thing.
You know you can set up a vibration alert in addition to the audible alert with your timer?

When researching new transmitters, I wanted something I could hear. I didn't need it talking to me, just a loud beeper for when it's time to land. I made a purchase of a not so popular brand, as far as helicopter fliers go. I'm happy with it. I did set it up to speak at one minute of flight to go, at 30 seconds, 20 seconds and 10 seconds and then beeps at one second intervals until a long beep at 0. It also has haptic feedback, so the transmitter vibrates along with voice or beeps.
It's loud enough to hear over all my electrics, nitros and even a gasser hovering 20' out.
I've also added voice alerts when switching flight modes: "Normal mode", "Idle Up 1", "Idle Up 2" and "Throttle Hold" I've learned to like the added security of knowing what flight mode I'm in, besides just flipping a switch.
I am in the process of reading the manual on mine. Is this radio "Blue Tooth" compatible?

Anyone have a good speaker they will recommend? I really don't want ear buds or a head set.

I think it's a great radio,
Dennis

True that, the buzzer is useless after a few months of use, shame...

These were my two solutions ;

BT (wireless)

I love this TX. systems connectivity and speed.
This was what most everyone that I knew was switching to at the time (6.8ms latency @ 2048res.).
There are a few newer systems that I would also like to try at this time (that's what makes this hobby much fun )

Buzzer fixed

After reading a bit, I replaced the vibration motor today with one I salvaged from an old cell phone. Works fine now

Nothing against you DTM but I have no interest in taking a soldering gun to the inside of my transmitter.NO doubt the signal that Futaba puts out is the best in the business and gives me piece of mind when I have anything up in the air, BUT their Lets call it "Accessories" are 18th century.
