I was wondering if most people are just hard mounting a new servo on larger size, 600 - 700, machines these days.

Yep, I find it more precise.

On electric I hard mount, on my nitro I use the grommets to try and reduce vibration to the servos.

I have never hard mounted servos in helis. Interesting some are hard mounting them in electrics.

Electric helis still generate strong vibrations which are detrimental to servos.

Brass Eyelets

When using the rubber grommets, do you use the brass eyelet inserts for the screws?
