I probably could've put this in the FBL category but I wanted a wider audience:

I have two Beastx equipped helis: a Blade 300 and a 300cfx. I really like them both. Too bad HH doesn't support them anymore! Anyway, the CFX drifts backwards in a hover. The non-cfx version does not. What would cause this?

I thought tail heavyness might be the culprit so I balanced the CFX slightly nose heavy - did'nt change a thing. NOTE: the plain 300 is slightly TAIL HEAVY and does not drift.

I leveled the swash in the CFX - no help. Then I tried setting the swash slightly nose forward just for grins - no help.

Hovered into the wind, cross wind, downwind - no difference.

I'm really frustrated and at a dead end.

Try checking for any vibration and possibly some accidental trim in whatever flight mode this happens in.

Almost forgot, I had the best results using two layers of grey 3m tape.

Check your eleavator linkage and machinical setup and ajust first then go into the setup programing and redo the setup make sure it done properly. Then go in to the perimeter seting and just for drift.

To expand on what artimus said: Item A in the Parameters menu (not setup menu) where the A is flashing. Read in section 9 of the manual, pg 64 of the manual: http://www.beastx.com/manuals/MICROBEAST_3.0.3_ENG.pdf

This is the final step in trimming the swashplate for drift free flight. Best done on a windless day.

Just want to thank you all for the rapid response. Took about 10 seconds to fix my drift using parameter menu item A.

Funny, I've been using Beastx for years and never needed to use menu item A before!

Just balance the thing up , most likely Ita balance ,or trim hang it buy the nut or disk on top the rotor head and see if it is perfect level , if so go into ATVs and reset elevator ,little helis are hard to set up perfect

Glad that worked for you. To expand a bit more - When you do the servo centering (Setup, step G), assuming the linkage lengths are perfect, you are leveling the swashplate. Since linkage lengths are not perfect (within +/- half turn is the best we can do) and the centering is not perfect and we are doing each of the 3 independently, then the leveling is not perfect, unless we are very lucky. The trim flight you do in Parameter, step A is letting you use the cyclic stick to feed some tiny corrections back into the servo centering. In fact, the "numbers" stored during Setup-G are actually being changed when you do Parameters-A.

Back in ancient times (pre FBL) my first flight was always checking and fine tuning blade tracking (often not necessary). With the BeastX my first flight is always checking and correcting drift (often not necessary).
