How long does the M1 Slant pinion (unhardened) from Align last ?

How many flights can you expect ?

I couldn't even tell you the amount of flights I have on mine. I've been flying the slant gears on my nitro since it came out, I haven't had to replace it from any sort of wear.

I honestly wouldn't worry about if, I do keep one as a spare if I happen to damage it swapping bells out, but never have worn one down or broken one.

Well mine is about three years old but really chewed up. I will post a pic when my camera charges. But I would guess less than 200 flights.

Here is my 15 Tooth M1 Slant gear:

The gear noise got a lot quieter as the pinion wore in.

May wear in a little bit but I don't think you would have any issues running it for a long period of time unless if something gets sucked into the gear assembly while flying that would cause actual damage to the pinion.

Like I said been running same one for quite some time, doesn't look new but far from worn out or damaged.

Hi,

I only use the regular stock one ( straight teeth and M 0.7 or 0.8 do not have the figures here right now) and I can tell you I have never changed one in any of my 700 n machine, the most used is over 600 flights now and not even worn out or distorted, still perfect messing so far.

I fly F3c

1450 rpm on hovers
1950 rpm in aerobatics

Maybe for hard 3D they wear out much quicker.

Alberto.-

Respect and fly safe
