780mm align blades-fbl neuron control unit, pitch on heli very snatch at mid stick, with pitch curve at 2deg to 4 deg around 50% stick to 54% stick on transmitter. engine was 0% to 50% mid stick up to 100% full throttle stick. so i need to bring engine down in mid stick area to a lower rpm, eg idle is 55,000 mid stick approx 60%, so can we set the radio throttle curve to 0% idle 25% stick to 16%, 50% stick 38%, through the ecu to get wren down in rpms. any help would be great. from down under.my wife said she would sell me if i cannot get this under control.

Are you saying your throttle is tied into your pitch?

hitec all the way

peter, put your wife,s pic up and i will put my gear up. i have worked out i need to change the throttle curve to lower the rpms on the turbine at 50% stick, just on hover. as far as the radio, this is the best radio i have had . all 20 models all run hitec nine channel gear with no problems.

If I had one I would, took up scale helicopters as I thought it was the cheaper option, I was well wrong there but never looked back
I was playing with your type of radio gear a few weeks past
Because it was with a Vario 4 servo ccpm setup I know you can have the throttle and pitch in that mix
You will be correct in setting throttle curves
But as I am JetCat/ Jakadofsky I know little of wren setting up
Be care full not to lower your engine rev's too much, you will over load your turbine
Turbines are at there best running at high rev's
I only fly with fixed governed rev's,
I just set straight line throttle curves and adjust pitch to suit, not saying I do not play with engine revs, but JetCat are ordered for a specific set up and Jakadofsky have interchangeable gear wheels

yes i have set the curve to half expo, 0- 18%-44%-68%-100% full throttle. so at half stick 44%, the clutch is just starting to turn the blades. the pitch is not bad as it was, still very, very touchy eg, one click on the stick and it is going up, or down. still working on pitch curves.so thank you peter for your help. my wife is ok with the helicopter, as she now has ordered a new car! and i have a real good heli inclosed trailer to carry all my birds in to the sunbury club in melbourne. regards ivor. you can see my gallery under rcglo1.

When you say "one click " it suggests that your throttle/pitch has the ratchet still in place . If that's the case, you'll get much finer and smoother control if you disable it.....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

have done that, all i need to do is get the max engine rpms set at or above hover then set the ecu or throttle curve to that rpms so the turbine is still not climbing with the rpms and rotor speed around 1600 and not so hard to control.

thank you all for your help, as i will drop the top end rpms and start around 125,000 on the wren and fit a tacho to the tail boom hook up via the hitec telemetry system. this will tell me the head speed. shooting for 1600 to 1800 with 780mm blades.should be better to fly.thanks to all.
