At first I thought it was a motor problem because all I did was swapped motors out but after putting the older motor back in...I still get nothing when throttling up. I've noticed when plugging in the battery (12s lipo) I only get 11 beeps and no tones after....also a red led steady blinking. Is this a esc problem?

Couple of questions:

Is this a brand new ESC? Has it ever worked properly?

Have you checked for firmware upgrades and checked the current configuration using the Castle Link software?

Are your throttle endpoints set to 0 and 100 with no trim?

After plugging it in, do the servos work?

(Did anything change on the radio. Try another set of packs?)
Nothing changed on the radio and I did try a different set of packs.

(Is this a brand new ESC? Has it ever worked properly?)
It is brand new with about 6 flights on it already with a savox motor. All I've done is changed to a scorpion motor and changed setting in the esc so it knows motor pwm and kv. I've flown this heli with the savox motor with no problems.

(Have you checked for firmware upgrades and checked the current configuration using the Castle Link software?)
I've upgraded the software to the latest 4.25 beta when I first built the heli a couple weeks back.

(Are your throttle endpoints set to 0 and 100 with no trim?)
The throttle end points are from 0 to 100 and haven't touched the tx since I've flown the heli last with the savox.

(After plugging it in, do the servos work?)
Yes everything works as it should on the heli just no motor...

The flashing led suggests the ESC is not being armed.

try lowering you bottom endpoint and see if you hear the arming tones.

So all you did was change the motor, everything else stayed the same?

The fact that you are getting beeps means the motor IS getting some kind of signal.

Do you know the motor is good?

It does sound like it's the motor itself.....

Is it possible when changing the motor one of the solder joints on one of the connectors broke? Long shot I know, but.....

Yep...All I've done was take the savox out and put the scorpion in. I've put the savox back in (the known good motor) to confirm it was a bad motor only to find out the savox isn't working either. I've checked the solder joints and they seem to be solid. What gets me is it only counts off 11 on a 12 cell and usually it keeps beeping every 10 seconds when you don't give it any throttle input but I'm not getting any tones.

Just had a thought....

If you are only getting 11 beeps, the ESC thinks you have an 11S pack, and the Low Voltage Cut off might be preventing the motor from starting.

Maybe change the LVC setting to see if that temporarily fixes it, but you need to figure out why it's not recognizing the 12S.

JUST FOR TESTING - I would try disabling the lipo detection and the low voltage cutoff.

Could something be drawing enough current to make the ESC think it's only 11S?

Maybe unplug the servos?

There is no option for disabling low voltage cutoff.....just choosing your own voltage instead of auto lipo. I reset the esc to factory default and set back to my original setting and now it is working. But it is still only counting 11 cells....Or is the initial tone when you first plug in count as 1....go to video for reference above.

I figured it out....I had the autorotation enable and it wasn't seeing 0 throttle and it is something you can't adjust in the tx....has to be done in the msh brain software. Also it is only counting 11 cells because the batteries aren't fully charged.
