I'm still looking for an electric start kit for my gasser helicopter. I've looked everywhere I can think of to no avail. It seems the drones are taking over. Only a select few are catering to the helicopter community and most of that is electric.

why would you want an on board electric start? it adds significant weight to the model (motor, gear, one-way and starter battery).

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Never been a electric start for the PUH but Vario still makes the electric start for the RC version.

Vario has one. You can get it at EastCoastVario with Joe Howard for the Zenoah engine. Having said this, I ended up taking it off, because once the engine is tuned, its just very easy to get it started with the pull start. Maybe the "cool" factor of starting it from your remote is something to consider, especially on scale machines. Just make sure the engine is well tuned before you put it in, or else you'll run through the electric motor.

starter

My set up is a RCA 700 scale Hughes 500. It runs perfect but my issue is I had to set it up with the pull cord inside the fuselage. I have to pull the wind screen off every time I want to start it. It's not the end of the world but it would be nice to start it from the remote. I wont lose any sleep over this that's for sure
