Need some help guys, when I fly my 550 DFC and attempt to do the tick-tock's the heli is bogging down a bit. I'm running Pulse 6S 5000 45C/ KDBB 550 blades/ MX600 motor/ Talon 90. I flying is sport and learning 3D, I do understand that throttle management is essential. Below you will find a video of my attempted 3D flight, should I upgrade the moror, blades etc.

Watch at YouTube

Thank you...

I just ordered a pitch gage, but the guy that I bought the heli from says it has 11 1/2 to 12.

It doesn't seem that bad, that I can tell on the video. When you get your gauge, check it to make sure.

From your flight before the 2:21 mark
- good collective
- smooth transition
- i can see that when you are coming out of the loop

at the 2:21 when you initiate the Tic Toc Disc In / tail down
- starting the Tic Toc Disc in is good

when pushing away
- you are too close to knife edge (90 degrees to ground)
- go further past knife edge
- notice when you started it, the heli is almost level to ground
- when going away, you are close to knife edge
- that is why you go going down

I would suggest:
- bring it towards to you to about 2 o'clock (if looking sideways)
- use elevator to bring heli upright (with little collective)
- then when close to knife edge, start using collective and ease off on cyclic.

it's kinda like a manual transition
- more collective ... less cyclic
- more cyclic .... less collective
- going a little higher HS would help
- do a big rainbow than shorten it

Guys thank you so much for the advice!!!I will check the head speed/pitch once the gage comes in. As far is I know the settings are stock on the the Talon 90. I just flew my Blade 360 on 6S 1800 45C and no problem with tick-ticks or bogging down (stock settings). Actually, I managed to have a full 9min 20% left in the pack, flying sport and mild 3d, which I'm really pleased about.

It's not bogging down as in lacking in power you just need to use more cyclic and less pitch. What you are trying to do is like a rainbow but keeping the heli too upright. Practice simply flipping the heli backwards to inverted and hold it for a second then flip back over and hold for a second and repeat. Once you can control this just start speeding them up and stop at 45 degrees instead of all the way over.

2:29 to 2:34 you did some nice ones!

You could probably go higher on the head speed aswell, you want it at least 2200.

60% of the time, it works every time!
