I just recently bought a used Trex 700n with align servos, spektrum dx7 radio "1st series". Heli had not been started in awhile had to take engine out and clean. My problem is one of the servos jumping up and down but only while the engine is running not doing it when engine is off. Could this be a receiver malfunction?? Any help appreciated.

Is it the throttle servo? Do you have governor installed?

No it's not the throttle servo it's the elevator servo in front of the main shaft and yes there is a align governor

Switch the elevator servo with one of the other cyclic servos and see if the glitch follows...

ok, sometimes an issue with the governor can cause the throttle servo to twitch, so it's not that.

Swapping the servo is a good tip.

Is the twitching a big movement? Have you flown it yet?

Don't Fly

Your right to hold off trying to fly it...
I have never seen a problem that goes away in the air
Do the servo swap...as suggested... that would help show up a bad servo..
or even a bad rx...

Going to be a little while now before I can try the swap again have to order a new starter coupler. I will say this the receiver was mounted on the side and one of the antenna was laying against the throttle servo could this cause an interference?? It does have a satellite receiver mounted on the nose...

No Noise!!

On 2.4 the antenna touching the servo case shouldn't cause any problem..
Bare wires (check at sharp corners and tie wraps that are too tight.. just a thought!!
