I have the instructions to replace the antenna on my JR.

It looks like the antenna wire is a coax wire! Can someone verify this?

Plus, dealing with parts that you can only see with a jewelry magnification glasses, I want to make sure my radio is fully ready for use.

If anyone has changed one, how in the heck to you feed the wire through the Antenna housing? Again, I can barely see inside the tube.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Dennis

Thanks for the help. Antenna replacement complete and working great.

It is pretty simple to do if you get the full assembly like Slowpoke added a link to. Once the radio is open you just place the new antenna in the housing and pop on the wire.

It is a micro coax (1.3mm) cable with a U.FL connector on the end. Make sure to pull it off straight and snap the new one on fully and squarely. There is a special tool to do this but forceps will work. Do not bend the "wire" ! It's like your CB, if you bend a kink in the coax nothing comes out.
