OK, I have a really strange situation with a black edition DX9 and 9020 receiver combo.

When powering up the receiver, the light blinks once and then goes out. Same for the sats. With the bind plug inserted, there is no blinky light, just one blink and out. And of course, when trying to bind I just get the dreaded "bind failed". I've tried another new off of the wall 9020 receiver with the same results.

Any suggestions as to what I might be missing? I've used Spektrum systems for about 15 years now and have never had this issue.

Thanks for your help!

Make sure you have the power plugged in correctly! If its backwards it will not work.

Problem solved. The channels as called out by the receiver labeling are not accurate. You'd think that the channels labeled closest to the edge would be the top channel slots, but they are in fact the bottom slots. So rather than plugging into the bind and battery channels I was plugging into something else. The manual is not the clearest in the world, but a RunRyder search provided the information I needed to resolve this issue.
