I had plans of doing my first real scale project using the RCA Chaos 600 electric stretched to 700 size for use in the Bell 206 700 size fuse also available from RCA. Problem is after a week plus of working with them to get the order together (they were incredibly helpful at first) it seems they just "get around to things" whenever.

I don't mean to insult them as they have a lot of really cool stuff that seems to be of really high quality and honestly I was really looking forward to getting started on the project.

I love their super scale packages as well but my heart is set on a 700 size Bell 206 for now and Funkey doesn't have a pre-painted fuse color that I like and Vario in general is too pricey.

I'd love to hear all the suggestions I can get particularly on mechanics that aren't discontinued and fuses that are meant to work fairly easy with certain mechanics ....

Update

To clarify, I was very apprehensive about ordering anything from RC Aerodyne as I was not getting any response to questions despite my initial phone conversation being incredibly helpful.

I stepped out on a limb and placed an order Monday September 12th 2016 and got the usual auto response. Shortly after I had tracking info and while I have yet to get any replies to my questions, the mechanics and fuselage ordered are already in town (as of Friday) and to be delivered via UPS Monday September 19th 2016. Pretty impressive turnaround even if support is touch and go.

For those that are shying away from dealing with them, I'd say ultimately they do come through. I just wish they were more on top of inquiries.

lots of assembly required

Another update

The order from RCA is here and I have to say my initial impression of the fuselage quality is a very good one. The pre-painted Bell 206 (KF206BW7) is very nicely done. The finish is wonderful for the money if you're wanting to build a scale 700 size Jet Ranger but not mess with a ton of detailing / finishing. The boom can be cut on either side for the TR exit (It is intended for left side orientation but could exit on the pilot's seat side with minor changes). The doghouse removes easily but is held in place via plenty of magnetic force.

Nav lighting, a cockpit, and a set of scale skids from JestRR will undoubtedly make this a very nice looking helicopter
