What parts are required to stretch the 480 to swing 500mm main blades?

All the info you ever wanted and more.

Basically nothing needed but blades. I like the larger bolts the different grips get you. Same bearings all fit. been running mine with stock gears just lowered my rpms.

Super light loading if you go full stretch. Old 500 boom and belt adds basically 2" or 40 mm so I went as far as the 523 or 525 switch and totally love it. You can auto like a 600 pretty much, disc so big tic tocs are nothing. Lower the head speed and you can get nice long flights. I fly mostly 1900-2000.
The other thing I prefer about the stretch is the belt is wider and fits the gear full width not like the skinny 480 stock.
I put larger tails on as well.

It's a super solid heli in either form 480/525 nothing but win IMO.

Might be worth waiting for the vtx and do nothing.

If your interested in stretching it with a 22 or 25mm boom I'm having a cnc guy make some. I had him resize the stock one to accept a 22mm boom and 550/600 tail box and it flies REALLY good.

here is the stock piece compared to the resized one.
