Morning Fellers, So I got a Blade 230s on the way, heard a lot of good stuff about it. The size reminds me of my days with the Blade CPpro and HB king 2---I never minded a tail motor drivin tail as long as it didn't burn out mid-flight well this one has a seemingly reliable brushless tail motor, I also like the simplicity of no torque tube, no belt, no linkages and so on. So Anywho----anyone here flying the 230s and happy with it ?

Doug, I don't have one, but I have dozens of flights on them while setting them up and showing customers how they fly. It's a nice little heli and the tail holds well for a direct motor driven tail. I wish it was around about 16 years ago when I got back into helis. That Blade CP that I started with was an evil machine.

Yes, the 230s is a great flying heli. It flys very much like a larger heli and is quite durable. Have fun.

You hit the nail on the head Phil, Got it today used from a "Freak" member in excellent condition. I programmed my DX6i and it actually flew right out of the box. The tail holds extremely well for a direct drive motor tail--just as good or better than my Trex 450 Sport and it screams when pushed---like a badger or Fisher Cat

Horizon Hobby really nailed it with this one, the only negative aspect I could find is the cyclic wants to wander before take-off but but once you are off the ground it's like rock---wicked stable considering it's small size. I think this is the machine we were trying to make out of the Blade CP pro back in the day. So far so good---small enough to fly in tight spaces but big enough to see.

Well, I really like it ! the flight right after this flight the tail motor suddenly got twice as loud---OH oh, better land quick, the tail still held Great but something was not right sound wise. One of the blades on the 3- bladed tail rotor was gone, probably had a hairline crack in it and just snapped off. So anywho, I was amazed that it still held really well

How much wind can it safely handle?

Wind ?? Quite a bit in my opinion but that's only my opinion, I'm used to flying in all kinds of conditions---one mans wind is another mans hurricane.
