They say they can get anything you need .....

Just trying to help....

I got accused of not being very helpful recently which is contrary to my character...... so I'm trying to do my best to be helpful.....

PS-- I would caution you about using a straight fluted 10 MM reamer as it is extremely difficult to ream the hole straight unless you have a decent drill press and the skill to do it right.....

I have a couple reamers that would work for you, don't let anybody bull**** you about having special skills to ream a hole,it is not extremely difficult to do as the other poster says. You can use a 25/64 reamer which is 9.922mm.You are not building a space shuttle.

Good quality hobby prop reamers are designed the way they are for a reason.... that is, to help you ream the hole SQUARE.....

If you think you can use a straight machinist type reamer to do the job, by all means have at it !! Your prop, your motor.....

So what you are saying is that good quality hobby reamers are better than machinist reamers?Maybe that is the problem you have with reamers and having to be skilled, because the reamers I use don't make a square hole, they make them ROUND and Straight.Show me how hobby reamers are superior to others? Its a prop for a model airplane like I said, not the space shuttle.

I'm not always right, but I'm right in this particular case....I'

I never said one reamer was better quality than the other..... each has its proper application in regards to ease of use.

I never said reaming a hole with a straight machinist reamer was impossible to do right..... just that it's harder to do right....

I have done it many times with with a straight reamer but I have a drill press which allows me to ream the ROUND hole SQUARE to the hub..... Without the right equipment, an inexperienced person will likely wind up with a ROUND hole for sure but maybe not SQUARE to the hub thus creating unnecessary vibrations that may damage the motor over time.

You took exception to what I said and called me out on it.....

In the end, the OP bought the right tool, got the job done and he's very happy with the result.....

Who's looking like the fool here ???

This is not a popularity contest.......At the end of the day, my intent is to help others when the knowledge I've gained through experience over the years is appropriate.

YMMV......
