The spectrum 9110 is designed to get power from two lipos. You are not supposed to power it thru any of the ports like other receivers. When I install the throttle cable from my cc 160a esc do I have to remove the red wire

For ECS that have built in BEC, you need to remove the red wire from the ECS's "Throttle In" lead that connects to the receiver's (or FBL gyro's) throttle channel output.

The Castle Creations Phoenix Edge HV 160 does not have a built in BEC.

So, there is not need to remove the red wire.

But, there is no harm either.
If you wanted to remove the red wire "Just In Case", it will still function perfectly fine.

My sig is not fit for public viewing.

I believe the CC high voltage ESC without BECs need all three wires on the throttle servo lead to function.

Why is it someone so bad at being in charge......... wants to be in charge so bad?

I can't see that being the case as long as signal and ground are there.

There you go reading the instructions... where would we be without fear, uncertainty and doubt?
