I just want to start off with saying I don't want this to be a battle of the brands.

Okay; I am a fly bar guy, I really don't know a lot about FBL units, but I am learning slowly. I currently have a cgy 750 with v2 on it, and for me, it seems really hard to set up to many things to do on it and still couldn't get it to fly right, so I have decided to list it for sale, it is just way too aggravating for me.

So my question is what fbl unit is easy to set up and holds really well and you don't have to do a lot of tweaking on to get it to fly like it should like a fly bar? I was looking at the mini Brain 2 any of you have any feedback on it and would like to hear about other bands also.

Oh ya, I run the 14sg radio

Thanks,
Brian

I have used beastx, vbar, skookum, and currently using the spartan units. To me these units are pretty easy to setup all have plus and minuses. To me you could not go wrong with any of these.

Not sure never setup a 750 but from what ive heard the 750 is a bit more involved to get to fly right so I feel confident in saying yes they are. Out of these the beastx and spartan are the easiest because you dont need a labtop.

Got rid of everything else and am all CGY now. Like anything we use, from radios, to FBL units, to heli mechanics, set up on everything has a learning curve. Once you get the learning done on whatever you use, everything else will seem "complicated". For me, the CGY flys better than everything else......and.....on Runryder you have access to Dr. Ben who is better than any manual. Oh yeah, I think he wrote the manual.

The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

I have always recommended Vbar to people just starting out. I have flown them since my first years and years ago, and I found the computer interface VERY easy to follow and Vbars tend to just fly. You are not forced to "play" with them to get a decent setup. Of course the option is always there if needed but in my experience do the setup and forget about it

Man if you weren't a 5 hour drive I would come help you
the cgy750 really isn't that hard to set up and they fly great

Its just the typical Futaba instruction booklet for them is horrible
like all there other instruction manuals

Its more of a electrical ladder drawing diagram

there isn't someone within an hour or so drive down there willing to help ?

ageing is manditory maturity is optional

Set up one cgy750 did not care for it to much.

Beastx does work with with the 14sg.

After you figure out the light thing with the beastx it's really not that hard to setup a machine and it usually flies rather well with very little tweaking.

Vbar is an easy setup and flies great, even has paddle settings.

Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby?

Vbars are great you cant go wrong and ikon or brain are almost as easy to set up as vbar. Vbar i think being the easiest to set up is really what your looking for.

Rush 750, cc120hv, vbar silverline
Agile 550, HW120hv, vbar silverline
goblin 500, cc100, ikon
Devil380, cc75lite, minivbar
