Hi, its been a while since i flown heli. I moved to planks for a while, but now Iam back in heli world and bought myself a trex 700 dominator top. I flown heli's till the flybarless systems came out.
So now i was flying my 700 and it flys good in my opinion. Only thing is that when i give a pitch pump that the tail moves About 5 to 10 degrees to the right, nose to the left gain on Tx is about 60 and on the beast x screw in the middle. What can try first to get this solved. I see many topics with wag or something but i dont have a continious wag.
I run The latest version of beast x software

Kind regards,
Dennis

Increase the tail gain in the beastx and try it again. It sayd you are supposed to be between f-g on the beastx but for my 700's I run a lower head speed so I increase the tail gain some.

No, in the beastx manual look after the setup manual you will find them talking about your gyro gain.

Hi again,
I posted it at my girlfrends house so not much messing with settings.
Anyway i checked the settings and the gain on my tx is 60 and that corresponds to I so iam well above f-g and its still gives me a kick.

Its not super much but its well annoying.

So there are basically 3 things that affect the tail.
1 is the gain that can be set on the transmitter. currently 60 corresponding to i on the microbeast.

2 is the gyro gain setting on the microbeast itself parameter menu d. that is set to medium

3 is the dial screw. mine is set to factory settings.

so you suggestion of increasing the tail gain in the beastx corresponds to upping the gain in the transmitter which moves the letter up higher right?

Do you still recommend this as iam allready in I?

Kind regards,
Dennis

Hi,
In addition i also found out that it could be related to the governer gain from the cc 160 esc.
i had it on medium but will set it to low.

When i first flew the thing and did not have governer mode enabled it looked like it was solid at around 40 ish gain so that would be about f/g.
I will test this tomorrow.
regards,
Dennis

First look at the linkage and make sure its setup perfect. The length of the ball link to the screw on the servo. Make sure there's no binding what so ever. As for the dials,Ive never used them because I haven't had that problem.

What you are experience is called a, "Tail Blowout". What is your total collective pitch?

This is what I noticed:
- try +/- 12 collective
- if tail still goes CCW on pitch pump, drop to +/-10 collective

Head Speed matters
- be at the HS that the manual recommends
- Check at various HS to see what the tail does

Try being smooth on the pitch pump?
- Does the tail blow out vs just punching the collective?

if you don't have a continuous back and forth tail wag, than your tail mechanic is good

Why do you worry about what it does while on the bench? Or is this doing it while in the air?

It could be that you have so much torque that the tail is having a hard time compensating. It could be fixed in the esc or FBL settings or maybe bigger tail blades.

What head speed? Try increasing it if you are below 1900.

Make sure you have set full tail pitch.

Make sure you have gone as high as you can on the gain in your TX.

Try the tail pre comp on high but make sure you have it in the right direction! From MID collective stick the tail slider should move towards the tail box when moving up to full + collective or down to full - collective. From low to high stick the pitch slider should move as follows: right, left, right when viewed from the rear.

60% of the time, it works every time!
