Emile, yeah so far it's "the poop" There was a little bit of a learning curve to it, but it's a great FBL unit and easy to tune.

GH: The EC135 doesn't have a large disc, so no need for the 4th servo. Plus, with today's available servo technology, I don't feel the need for a 4th servo. My 1/4 scale R22 has 3/120 (HV high torque).

So, I'm setting up my EC135 and trying to get the fenny dialed in properly. On the bench I have plenty of left rudder (with stick input) and almost no right rudder with stick input. The end points are maxed out. I'm assuming that during right rudder input, the fenny blade pitch is almost negligible, so the rotor head torque does all the work. Is this correct?

Correct torque effect in play.

Right pitch 2-4 degrees and left pitch is a good 45 degrees of travel. I set pitch range via function curve (Jeti). I've just reinstalled mechanics and set tail for initial hover flight. So the first few test hovers are out of the way. Now need calm day to tune rate mode and more.

Your limited by design on the amount of right pitch. Approx 5-8 degrees of left pitch to hold tail (offset from zero).

Thanks Sean, much appreciated! I just needed a sanity check, as this is my first fenny...

I also switched from HC Rigid to 3SX so that's another learning/setup curve to tackle.

Just about ready to maiden. The spool up is awesome, belts run true, zero motor mount issues. I just need to check the blade pitch at the tips and adjust the CG. Then find some time this weekend...

Note on CG - rear of skids should lift 10mm before front skids.
