My dad passed away last year and I have some locksmithing tools/picks ect... that were his, looking for someone that can use them.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

Sorry about your dad. You should keep the tools as a memento of your father, pass them down to your grandkids some day. Many generations later they will have a link to their past family history.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Thanks,
I kept a lot of stuff as personal mementos, but the locksmithing stuff I just didn't really want, its just gathering dust. I already had some of my own from years ago when I worked for a locksmith.

I have my Dad's tools and his workbench. I spent many an hour at that bench working on projects when I was a youngster. I am sincerely glad that I have them. Please, keep your Dad's tools. There will come a day when you will be very grateful that you have them.

Condolences on the loss of your Dad. Hang on to the good memories and allow an bad memories to fade.

My Dad had a LOT of stuff, an amazing collection of early american antiques. He and i did a few repairs on them over many years. I saved a few pieces for myself, sadly most of it ended up sold at a colector's auction.

When my Mom passed we were much less sentimental about the stuff. One of the few things i saved were a few phone mesages. My most prized possesion is a few short streams of bits.
