The old standards, Futaba, JR, Hitec. Newer brands Expert, Savox, BK, MKS. Several off brands that I can't recall the names, but I think the ones I have listed are the most common. One brand that I liked but is no longer sold was Torq (Outrage). You can still find them listed in forumn ads.

I am sure others will chime in here with brands I missed.

Don't forget Align. They make some pretty awesome servos these days and there are probably more Align servos out there is use than any other brand.

Futaba are my personal favourites because they have been around the longest.

Check out KST. They make some great servos and they are priced below the ones that have been around longer. I've been very happy with all of my KSTs.

Torq's were made by MKS. MKS are the best servos I've ever used, I've never stripped one, even through some nasty crashes!

KST micros are really good for the money too.

Pretty much all the servos are decent nowadays.. Not like the old day when the only ones to trust were Futaba's and maybe JRs...

This hobby is like Kryptonite to chicks!

I had a KST micro fail! It was half the price of the MKS DS95 though!

And I had an MKS fail resulting in a 10 flight old Logo 600 rekit. Every manufacturer puts out a dud occasionally.

The failures are a percentage of the numbers sold and I don't think there are nearly as many KST servos out there than MKS. That's why some people don't like Align servos because they have heard of a few failures but I bet Align servos make up the highest percentage of servos in service right now.

Promodeler servos are my fav. They are the closest brand that can say "USA". Some other brands are just rebranded Chinese servos. They are good choices also.

For me it comes down to the personalized service from Audacity Models. I like calling the owner himself to answer any questions I have.
