Tapping to a bigger set screw on the tail hub is not the answer.
- Excessive tail vibration will make anything come loose
- V Bar can isolate between the main shaft & tail shaft vibration levels
- find the root cause, not do a patch job

SAT Location
- there is a ground and "reception" element
- proper orientation is critical, canopy is not CF but your frame is
- I can see it's not correct but you "overided" my suggestion.
- so i guess it won't be a problem til it becomes a problem.
- range check is different than a brown out. Luckily with your AR7200BX, your model won't fly way (fail safe is built in an event of signal lost)
- if flying far away in cloudy condition is your idea of a range check, than consider yourself on borrowed time....Good luck

first off , I need to be more clear here so you understand ,
first , I was referring to how the tap and die at the factory must be a .0001 too big due to slop in the cnc or whatever,

all I did was replace the setscrew with a new one of the same size and made sure the 4 tt frame bolts were tighten all the way,, this fixed the problem thus for (15 flights no problems)

as for the sat placement , ive range tested my heli when I first built it , and all was fine , I also flew pretty darn high and far the one day it was cloudy from storm's that just past, and again , no issue ,
I'm not trying to argue here , just saying that my sat placement has been fine for me and has worked flawlessly for 67+ flight now ,
as should it due to the range test being fine?

I think it was sound advice you gave about the cf shielding , but , as said before , I don't think this merits me moving it , due to the above ,

and again I don't have a tail vibe, my tail fin is still as a house and don't move , and when I held the boom in my hand with the mains off , I didn't feel no vibs that were not normal ,

If there are no excessive vibrations, maybe start looking at components.

I'm passing on valuable information, it's up to you to apply it ... At the end of the day, it's:
- your bird
- your responsibility
- your judgement
- your call

Since 91' ... I've had enough boom twist, connectors desoldered and gitches to freak me out or cause mishaps. So now I make sure my booms are pinned, correct size connectors, correct soldering method are done and etc. I learned the hard way .. so just passing the information and making some one's life easier.

I now see words and interpretations are relatively to one's reality.

For example would be a video of ".....smooth 3D. Enjoy".
If you can see sudden drops or increase in elevation with noticeable head speed changes, it's not smooth in my definition. Kinda hard to enjoy when the video is not consistent to the title.

You got more nerves than me since I don't fly in:
- over cast
- high humidity stormy conditions
- too many variables in the equation

I was asked once, "what's better? ...an Assault, Tarot, Align or SAB?" My reply would be,
"As long as the material is sound ....who's building it?"

Remember that it's not what can go wrong, but everything has to go right.

I don't know if you seen it , but theres a video out there of a gaui that the 700 main shaft snapped mid flight ,

now people were like " oh wow he really can fly,he snapped a shaft" blah blah blah,

now take that same flight and put say a clone gobblin 380 in that video , or a garret 700,
I feel as tho peoples reactions would be alot different , and along the lines of -" see I told you that clone heli is a death trap, ticking time bomb!!" blah blah blah,

""I was asked once, "what's better? ...an Assault, Tarot, Align or SAB?" My reply would be,
"As long as the material is sound ....who's building it?""

I couldn't agree more , which inturn is why I asked about the above,
peoples perception on things can get distorted pretty quick ,
at the end of the day , its a toy and have fun with it ,

Since you said it, I will agree with you. I have confirmation that the Assault 700 is a "Ticking Bomb"... But hey, it's your prerogative.

Sometimes you have to admit you don't know what you don't know. I heard a quote once:
You give a wise man an advice ... He will say Thank you. You give a fool an advice, he will yell at you.

Best of luck

I kinda agree,
to me . its kinda like the guy that own 4 or 5 goblins or tdr's , but can do nothing but buzz around in the air?
you think the person can fly hard and low because after all , they have hard 3d smack machines, not buzz around like sunday flyers .,

kinda like the guy who buys a $225,000 lambo , and never goes faster than 50mph on the autobon!

I guess its so they can say "see I'm good, look what I got;?

oh btw id love to see a video of your 3d smack, I love watching other pilots with years under there belt show there stuff
