Pretty sure PowerMaster is made in TX. You should try it!

Edit: Heck, their contact info on their www page says they're in San Antonio. I'm sure you've heard of that town

I'm a Byron guy all the way, but I hear good things about PowerMaster. I consider Morgan to be the near the bottom. Ran it for a long time, but if I had a choice I absolutely would not burn CP.

Believe LONG ago : Cool Power was the 1st to break into the synthetic lube packages : { Secret Sauce } Omega ect. Why the dye colors are different.

The large cost of the product is actually in the Lube package.

Then one day a LIGHT BULB came on !

BYRON's

Know the Legend of the Secret Sauce -

NOT A CHANCE ! or What Duke FOX did when THEIR was NO Nitro ! and what their Was available -- went to the NHRA for the fuelers.

THAT WAS CRAZYSTUFF !!! Had the STANK FACE Smell TOO !! Wicked !!!!

Give you a idea - Retail was $8.00 to $9.00 it was so spooky kept it out doors. Even at a bit under 30 degrees it would start showing flakes suspended in it !!! It did NOT have Nitro in it !!

Fox Missile Mist 25% was all synthetic long before CP.

I have switched to Rotor Rage 30% heli and don't intend to change. They have a 22.5% I think. Power Master is not the old company so I don't know if they have the same recipe.

Power Master doesn't say full synthetic on the can. I have used a couple of gallons of it and don't like it at all. It leaves black residue all over the pipe and inside the engine. I would be willing to bet it has some amount of castor oil. Byrons is clean running and my engine looks new after five gallons.

Some arguments are sound and nothing more

Just bought a case of Byrons 30%. Was using 20% ... i guess with higher nitro i will have to richen the main needle a little. They say 30% runs cooler is it true.

I bought some fuel yesterday. The LHS says that fuel sales are down 75%. They say they will probably stop selling fuel.

30% nitro gives a bigger bang = more power so you can run the motor richer this helps keep the engine cooler

So to sum it up more expense for fuel less flight time as you are using more fuel on the rich setting

I have just gone over to 12% nitro using a enya 3 plug and tuned the engine getting longer flight times and lower fuel costs

Main reason for changing is high fuel cost and now in UK we need a home office licence to purchase 30% nitro fuel

The world is round you can run but you will always end up where you started from

As nitro is an oxygen carrier you need to increase the amount of fuel to offset it so yes you need to richen the mixture when going to 30%.

As more gas is entering the combustion chamber it helps to cool the crown of the piston but only if you get the mixture correct. The same would happen running an engine richer than needed. If the engine goes lean regardless of the amount of nitro it will overheat.
