Is a check valve required on the os 105hz? I bought one thinking it was needed to keep steady pressure but was told it's only needed on the hzr. Also does the 105 require a certain length fuel tubing? I'm not seeing it in the manual for the engine or the n7 manual

Check valve is only required on the regulated hz-r. the specific length of fuel tubing is only needed when using the check valve.

Using the check valve on a non regulated engine is not required and will cause problems if you use it. The non regulated carb is not designed for constant pressure.

Some arguments are sound and nothing more

As stated earlier. The distance doesn't matter on a non reguated carb. 10cm is the distance from the engine to check valve. You can make the line as long as you want on an HZ.

+1 on that. Regulated yes. Hz non regulated no.

Sorry got carried away and was thinking it was about the check valve on the regulated version. But reading it again I see he asked about the hz and a check valve not needed.

So +1
