No longer have time to fly and am considering selling out. How's the used market? I've been looking over the classifieds and looks like nothing is selling at any price.

Thinking parting out might be the better option.

It has been my experience with rc cars, planes, and helis to expect (and pray for) 33% of new cost. You can ask whatever you feel is appropriate but that is always where the offers seem to come in at for me anyways. I have learned to not take it too personal at this point. Your labor of love that you invested blood, sweat, tears, and a whole lot of time and $$ into is just another potential toy to someone else.

Used to be 50%. But I've observed nothing selling...which would indicate folks are now getting 0% of new cost. Really just don't want to waste my time trying to sell if no one is buying. I really am not concerned with getting top dollar. Just see no need wasting time with photos and dealing with it if no sales are happening.

See gassers being bumped for 6 months or longer.

I've not followed this hobby for a while now, which is why I ask.

Gasser or nitro, i dont seem to see a difference on sale time. I think it's worth posting if you truly want to sell. People will always be buying if the deal is good enough. My advice is to be sure and add plenty of clear, up close pics, and give a thorough description of what is included with detail of any issues. Oh, last but not least, include a price and if you are firm or not. These simple things will save you countless PM's back and forth and help you weed out the time wasters. Basically, anyone who contacts you will either have a very specific question regarding your heli, or an offer to purchase.

Nothing moves because all the new guys now are only interested in electrics. Its like going to the local club auction and trying to sell off your old 72MHz gear.... crickets...

Sorry to here that you're thinking of selling your gassers Rotor...
You were one of those individuals that helped turn me into a gasser flyer...THANKS!
I am a proud owner of four of them now. They all have their own personality. I don't always have the time to fly them...but when I do have the time,I can always count on them to give me pleasure when I do go to the field. If I had anymore room in my garage,I would consider getting one from you...
Good luck on your sale.

Tim

Posting an ad with a few pics takes only a few minutes and running the ad is free, no mater how long it takes to sell....

But I guess you'll never know unless you try....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

The gasser I have is my last remaining. I saved my favorite for last. Sold off my other 2 over the last several years.

HeliX 700 with a TRM 275TT. Has the modified RJX pipe on it. The one with the larger end cap for increased air flow. It was painted black with High Temp but most of it has burned off. If I sell, it will come with a brand new in the box RJX Pipe to account for the skuzzy look of this one. Though this one is superior in performance. I'd considered re-painting it, but just wasn't a priority. I think it needs high temp powder coating and would probably be what I would do if I ever got around to messing with it. I just have no interest.

VBar silverline, 8717 cyclic, rcbooya canopy mounts, all upgraded black gears. All upgraded tail pitch slider and tail assemblies. New style blades. Would also part with my collection of parts I've accumulated over the years. Would have no need for them. Pretty sure I have extra canopies and stuff as well. I moved and haven't really looked at any of that stuff in a while. Lots of it is still in boxes. Plus, I've not crashed in a very long time...so even when I was flying it, I never needed any of that stuff

She's perfectly balanced. I really put a lot of time and effort into getting her completely perfect.

I've had my eye on getting a Gasser for a few years now. I keep buying the damn electrics though and burning up my ready cash.. Do you have a Photo of your gasser and a price that you're looking for? The Pipe wouldn't phase me in the least if the bird runs well. Thanks

I find that with the decline in gasser and nitro heli use I get great deals on used parts etc. I have a Predator gasser that I have had for many years and has run like a champ with the 3dMax engine and Hatori pipe. I now have enough parts to keep me going for years. I don't get as much time to fly as I used to so even with the odd doink into the ground I should be good. With the crashed market for used wet fuel heli's I'd rather just keep it for the times that I get the bug to go out and fly.

The pipe has a modified outlet, courtesy of fastflyer20. He sent me a beautifully machined end piece and I lopped off the tiny RJX end and replaced with this one. Made a pretty big performance difference. I hate the paint didn't hold up. The specs on the paint said it was good enough, but clearly not. Other than the bugs, tops of mains and tail blades are all spotless. Has a bluetooth module for the vbar. I'm not yet sure on a price. Since it will also be going with all my spare parts as a complete package deal, I'll need to put hands on all those parts to get a tally. If interested, just PM me. When I find time, I'll probably go ahead and list it...with better photos. This is just a quick shoot to accommodate the request. The pipe is really the only crummy looking thing on it at the moment. But, like I said, I preferred the performance over the look which is why I didn't put my new, spare rjx on it. I originally had big plans of modifying the new one as well and then swapping them out. That would keep me in the air and I could take my time. Might be something for any new prospective owners to consider

Given the way it looks now, with some more flights, all the black may come off and it will be a nice solid matte gray! That wouldn't look too bad either.

LOL, yea. They PM'd me as well. Then they asked me to basically scrap it for parts. Seems rather shady to me. I never responded and they made it onto my ignore list. Don't have time for that stuff.

This is why I'm not even bothering to list my Predator. I have a Trex 600 and 700 nitro as well that are old school and even though I have FBL conversions for them they still aren't worth crap on the market. May as well just fly them into the ground...
