Hi guys

Looking for some help, I have yge 120 Hv in a logo 690 sx with a 370 kv scorpion motor. Every 3 - 4 flights it just cuts the motor out for about 1 second then come straight back on.

I have vbar neo and there is nothing coming up in the log, the model is earthed as required,
I've checked all connections, the esc didn't do this when it was in a different model,

Any info would be good.
Thanks Paul

Your setting cutoff voltage is high.
That is why your esc is protecting your batteries.

Try a lower cutoff voltage.

Lipo protection / under-voltage protection:

Because of the tension driven load adjustment it is possible to fly further with low power, since the battery recovers with smaller load. However, if the tension continues to break in, the motor is switched off

I've got it set low, normally if the low voltage kicks in it either shuts down or slows down not shut down for only one second.

I've flown 4 flights today with no problem and tic toc all flight so plenty of loading on the batteries to drop voltage.

It is only probably even half a second but only does it every now and again, just shuts motor off completely and then straight back on.

Well... It seems to me that you have a faulty battery, probably with high internal resistance...in that condition, your LIPO has a 0.5-0.7 volts to recuperate after a hard load within 2-3 secs, enough to trigger your protections.

Your esc is taking care of that and cut the motor.

Be aware... And auto in that precarious condition is Sad, very Sad.

Same thing happened to one of my buddies and this is what we did:

reprogrammed his ESC, sequence is very important

Set curve to 0 - 50 - 100
turn on vbar
connect yge to programming card to esc
connect pack then bat to card (listen for the right tone)
set timing
brake to off
cell count to what ever you are using
**second page - don't change the order

Start speed to heli middle
gov to off (enter 3 times)
then start speed to plane middle (listen for the right tone)
then set your start speed.

Like this you should be good.
