I looked at it when I first got my G380 assembled.
I rejected the idea.
The #1 issue for me is that use yet another proprietary connector.
If I ever needed to build a charger cable, I need to go back to SAB for parts.
Also, every time you plug in the battery, there is going to be an arc. Eventually, one or the other connector will need to be replaced.
And, I have to go back to SAB
And, lastly, I may get careless.
If I slide the battery into the frame when I am not ready to fly, then (due to any number of factors) it would be easy for the battery to slide back and engage the frame mounted connector and power up the heli.
That would not be good.
I use the EC5.
The wires are long enough that I can plug in the battery without have the battery tray engaged with the frame.
Then, as I slide the battery tray in, the wires and connectors simply fold back through the rear opening of the frame.
No muss, no fuss.
And totally compatible with my charger and everything else I own.
And, the canopy is still a perfect fit.
My sig is not fit for public viewing.
