Hi guys
Any one running the quick battery tray, what are your thoughts on it.
I just got one now wondering if it's right for me as I parallel charge 4 batterys at a time.

Also when you have cut battery leads short to fit the tray, they will only ever be good for goblin 380.

That is the trade off for the better fitting canopy and quick installation.. But what else you gonna use them for.....

I looked at it when I first got my G380 assembled.
I rejected the idea.

The #1 issue for me is that use yet another proprietary connector.
If I ever needed to build a charger cable, I need to go back to SAB for parts.

Also, every time you plug in the battery, there is going to be an arc. Eventually, one or the other connector will need to be replaced.
And, I have to go back to SAB

And, lastly, I may get careless.
If I slide the battery into the frame when I am not ready to fly, then (due to any number of factors) it would be easy for the battery to slide back and engage the frame mounted connector and power up the heli.
That would not be good.

I use the EC5.
The wires are long enough that I can plug in the battery without have the battery tray engaged with the frame.
Then, as I slide the battery tray in, the wires and connectors simply fold back through the rear opening of the frame.

No muss, no fuss.
And totally compatible with my charger and everything else I own.
And, the canopy is still a perfect fit.

My sig is not fit for public viewing.

Thank for you views,
I'm going with artimus, I don't have any other models that use these batteries and I've already bought the kit.
I'll see how it's goes.

Just an update,

I fitted quick battery trays and love it.

Canopy easier to get on, plug and play no messing about.

Down side had to buy 4 connectors to parallel change.

I love 'em. Have 4 set up. I wish they had the same set up for my 570.

Me to 4 trays, it would be nice if they all did them.
But you wouldn't be able to share the big packs then, as most of us have 6s and 12s set ups.

I do like the concept, no wires to tuck in.

true that. I have a 570, an Trex 550 DFC and an Agile 700 and all 3 use the same packs. I Have 6 packs and if I had to put a few on tray, I'd be buying a bunch of 5000 packs... ouch

DO IT AND BE HAPPY YOU DID!!! They are awesome. As I said, I wish more helis did this. I've got 4 set up like this and set it up this way from the original build. So easy to swap out batts.
