"WOW"

The info on the website is over the top!!!! Great job by both Darrell and Peter in putting this info together in ONE PLACE, so that we can all get there with the same and proper information.. sure wish this had been available when I first chose to fly scale competition... now you can spend your time on your docs and machine instead of wondering what to expect when you get there!!!
Add to that info, Peters invaluable tips and you cannot go wrong... you can bet I will be reviewing everything he has written..
I especially agree with flying the heck out of your heli so that you are as used to it as a daily flier.. PRACTICE, PRACTICE and then Practice it again... get the idea??

Great job guys!!!!

Those drawings are really nice and the representation of the helicopter during the maneuver makes it much easier to visualise. With the explanations presented with them, it will make setting up a flight more realistic. The information presented will really help new and old scale pilots alike, with a place that they can refer to for competition guidance. Thanks Darrell and Peter.

For those competing, may I suggest you look at this video posted this morning and watch a normal takeoff . Its quite enlightening and In would definitely be doing this as one of my maneuvers if I was competing.

Good luck to all the hundreds of this years competitors

I won't be able to defend my title this year as my machine won't be finished in time, however I will be at ircha and plan to be at next year's nats. Good luck to all the contestants

Will the Nats be done by Wednesday?

The reason I ask is that I need to set up the tall Pylons on site 3 for the speed runs, and AMA said to me they will be available after scale is done. Never thought scale uses the 5-10m pylons, only FAI...

I remember something out there in front if us last year and I noted to myself not to fly into it. Is that what that was?

In F3C, the center of the course as well as the left and right 60 degree boundaries are marked by 3 helicopter eating pylons.

Did not think they were used in scale.

A do not hit with heli (or plank) sign is been consider as redundant.

I will gladly take away that threat as soon as F3C Nats is done with them.
