The old Courthouse in Tombstone has a Gallows right beside it. It can hang up to four guys at a time.

The rope cost only 5 cents and could be reused many times.

Good show for the kids. Popcorn and cool sasparilla...

Life in prison for a senseless murder can cost us over 3 million bucks.

Charles Manson still alive? Seriously?

I knew a guy once that got something like 30 days in jail. OR... remain free and show up to pick up trash on the side of the road a few times a week for 6 hours and be done with it (if it rained and he worked an hour, he still got credit for a day in jail). He chose to go to jail for 30 days.
My guess is, he was pretty comfortable in there...

This is exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about.

As citizens, we've all been had. As citizens, we provide our time as jurors for ridiculously low compensation while everyone else working in the court is getting average six figures on our tax dollar. We pay the investigator, the bailiff, the judge, the stenographer, the courthouse security, the lawyers, etc. You name it, we pay it. In return for our contributions, the criminal gets fed and housed on our dollar, and there is normally zero true rehabilitation, thus the systems lets them out to repeat offense.

The convict NEVER makes society whole again. They have little incentive to stay out of jail. Sentences are too long and too little punishment.

We've been had.

It's time the system worked for the society it claims to protect instead of interests and criminals. There should be enormous reforms.

I'm not talking about abuse...I'm talking about convicts making society whole and until you do, you suffer. In the above example, this should not have been given as a choice. They should have offered the work release program, and when declined, he gets a tiny cot in a dark room with minimal bland meals until he decides at which point he'd like to repay his debt. If he refuses, have fun in solitary.

Prison is supposed to serve society. Instead, it only serves special interests and lawyers/judges. FIX IT!

yep. The nuts and bolts of it is this (Hanging my head in shame). I was given 10 days in jail (5 weekends) for a DUI as part of my punishment, including paying court fees etc..... OR pay all of the fines etc. AND do 10 days doing work detail for the Sherriff's department.. I chose work of course.
This guy I'm talking about was already IN jail, but he could get in a van with us and pick up trash on the side of the road for 6 HOURS and get TWO days off his sentence. No brainer right??
The first day we had to go out of the way to the jail to pick him up. Heavy young black dude with dreads and black pants and shirt. Got into the van and off we went.
Got half way there when he figured out what we were about to go do and asked to go back to jail instead, so they took him back.
6 hours of the easiest work ever for 2 days of freedom, plus the day you work, you're not in that hellhole.
Working that 2 days a week for 4 weeks (I got 2 days knocked off) was the most enlightening experience of my life. I worked next to every form of human being you can think of. The junkies were by far the worst. I saw and heard it all in 8 days of doing that. There were people getting high walking down the road surrounded by cops.... unreal.

Yeah man, I don't think so. There are plenty of crimes here where people get the death penalty. and they still do the crime. so hanging them isn't going to solve anything. Unless you start hanging for stealing an apple.

It certainly won't. Except reducing the incarceration rate. Saves millions every time you push the lever. Saves lives by reducing repeat offenders to zero. Solves over crowding. They don't whine so much about access to TVs... but other than that and a few dozen other things that it fixes with 100% guaranteed results it doesn't solve a thing.

you see, the Victim is always left a Victim

Aaron, I'm with you on all that, I have felt the same all my life, and to add, they should add the time it took to bother the Cop to arrest the crook, make it a flat rate, but there has to be different rates for different crimes,, what, gun involved, well the rate just went up,

but the Libs wont like that

No. You are both under rocks. He's still alive. There was a hoax he'd died, but he's still eating on tax dollars.

Of course the debt he incurred is not something that can ever be repaid. It's up to God what to do with him once he passes.

Hopefully no federal dollars go to feeding this asshole. The taxpayers of California can pay for whatever nonsense humanist beliefs they have. Don't let that loony stuff spread to other states or the federal level. I was born raised in Cali - NEVER going back. Place is insane.

We know what to do with rabid dogs. Yet somehow let scum like Manson live.

The song is awesome, don't let Manson steal it! Below are the lyrics. Read them. You'll find no race war. No murder. No apocalypse. Nothing nefarious. The lyrics only indicate a roller coaster love affair causing the writer confusion. A love story that happens every day everywhere. Sorry Manson, you got it all wrong. No race war. No apocalypse. No voices telling anyone to sin. The song is simply a hard rock "love" song WAY ahead of its time. Only an insane person could see it as anything else. It's a great song. It was "metal" before there was metal. This song was so ahead of its time it sounds like modern rock. And it was 1968!!! SIXTY EIGHT!

So, it's OK to love the song! Manson DOESN'T OWN IT!
When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and turn and I go for a ride
'Til I get to the bottom and see you again
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Do you? Don't you want me to love you?
I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you
Tell me, tell me, come on, tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer

Helter skelter, helter skelter
Helter skelter, yeah

Will you? Won't you want me to make you?
I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
Tell me, tell me, tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer

Helter skelter, helter skelter
Helter skelter, oh, look out
'Cause here she comes

When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and I turn and I go for a ride
'Til I get to the bottom, I'll see you again
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Do you? Don't you want me to love you?
I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
Tell me, tell me, tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer

Helter skelter, helter skelter
Helter skelter, oh, look out
'Cause here she comes, oh yeah

She's coming down fast, she's coming down fast
She's comin' down, comin' down, comin' down fast
Comin' down, comin' down, comin' down fast
Comin' down, comin' down, comin' down, she's comin' down fast

She's come, come, comin' down fast
She's comin', comin', comin' down fast
Oh, look out she's comin' down, helter skelter

Helter skelter, helter skelter
Helter skelter, oh yeah
