If you want to read something really funny read this.

"Not in my hands. I’ve shot pistols before, but never something like an AR-15. Squeeze lightly on the trigger and the resulting explosion of firepower is humbling and deafening (even with ear protection).

The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don't know what you're doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable."

These are the ANTI's that we are up against

But as I said, there is no reason for the average gun own to need an assault rifle (fully automatic). NO NEED FOR IT!!!!
NBH You need to spend a little more time on the internet and try to figure out why the work Semi is placed before the word automatic i.e. Semi-automatic.

There are very few fully automatic weapons anymore in the hands of the public.
Bla bla bla. I didn't say we shouldn't own guns you moron. I said I see no reason why the average citizen needs a military assault rifle.
Ball in now in your court as to tell me why the average citizen needs an military assault rifle.
I did give you reasons and apparently you didn't watch the video I provided.

So now who is the Moron???

Yes, but most "assault type" rifles can be made fully automatic very easy.

I have semi automatic rifles man. I know EXACTLY what semi automatic means.

I watched your video. I still see no need in any average citizen needing an AR15......But then again, you can probably still get an AK47. That use to be the big gun.

And again, an average citizen *CANNOT* get a 'military assault rifle' . . . that law came into play in 1968. And if dinknuts thinks he can make an AR full auto easily, I'd love to see where he plans to put the auto sear in an AR lower that has no such space . . . I really wish these dimwits would wake up and realize that the M16 and AR15 are not the same thing . . . but then again, since when has a lib ever done anything based on actual, verifiable fact? Fantasy and fiction makes things so much easier . . . don't have to deal with all those pesky facts.

And I could give 2 shiz what my neighbor owns . . . ultimately, all it means is that we will have a safer neighborhood, since gun owners, unlike libtards, don't go 'full retard' in the presence of a firearm . . .

Here's some sound advice - take two asprins, lie down in a dark room, for 15 minutes , then go shoot some more rounds , till you overcome the feeling

yep. I own an AK, and 2 AR's I built myself. Plus many others. My buddy next door has a similar arsenal. Oddly, the other 4 people living in our building are QUITE happy that we're well armed and 2 of those 4 have been asking for a day trip to the range to teach them how to shoot and what gun to buy for their first weapon.
Do I NEED and "assault rifle"??? Maybe not. But when/if the day comes that I do, I'll be glad I have them.
And FWIW, they're not for protection from criminals. They're for protection when this dumpstire fire of a country finally goes nuclear, or from my own government. Protection in my home is provided by a couple shotguns (one, ironically looks exactly like an AR) and a couple 1911's.
And converting an AR to full auto is VERY hard to do and if you get caught with an altered rifle without the proper license (hard to get and expensive), you'd have been better off murdering someone. Criminal penalties on owning a non-licensed full auto are extremely harsh.

You REALLY think the elites are worried about the occasional club shooting? All the while arming drug lords, or Syrian rebels with true assault rifles far more deadly than the ones they seek to deprive you of? Come on. Wake up. This isn't about saving lives. The focus on AR-15's is because it is a tactically viable weapon. It'd be the go-to gun in the event the populace ever attempted to toss away oppressive government. Take a look at the history of gun control. They've been worried about AR-15's since WAY before Adam Lanza. They are just looking to capitalize on these incidents. "Never let a crisis go to waste" stuff.

exactly why I laugh so heartily when people say a musket was the weapon of choice when they wrote the 2nd. Hello, McFly, the 2nd was not written for hunting......
I have bumpfire stocks for my AK and one of my AR's. When the SHTF, they'll be going back on.

First of all let me state I am a concealed permit holder and I often encourage friends to get a CC permit, even if they chose not to always carry.
I have tried to figure out what I would do in a mass shooting.
In an enclosed room (Pulse night club) the noise would be terrifying and maybe even temporarily make your mind shut down from any logical thoughts of what is going on.
Now suppose at lest 10% of those persons were carrying, that would be 30 (out of 300) in that closed room. When the shooting starts, are these 30 persons going to be able to calmly appraise the situation and pick out the bad guy ? I think not ! Some are going to be in a complete panic mode and start shooting anyone who is shooting. In other words it becomes a wild and dangerous shootout of some shooting anybody else who is shooting.
Still, even in that scenario, perhaps less lives would be lost.
.
CC is still a good thing (in my opinion) for personal protection on the street and local stores.

Maybe . . . but in that scenario, hopefully a cool head would prevail, and the CHL's present would be able to realize that the guy who had just shot 5 people while spewing jihadist rhetoric was the one and only bad guy . . . not to mention, the only one with a long arm . . .

If you draw without a clear target you are an idiot. I was taught in my CCW that unless you have a target you do not draw lest you are brandishing.

The wild west confusion shootout will not occur so long as weapons are not drawn without a clear target.

Plus - even in case of a wild west confusion (which has never been demonstrable, BTW) would you rather have 1 or 2 errant bullets or a completely unrestrained shooter? The scenarios people come up with don't fly in the face of logical conclusion.

AS I stated, there will be some 'idiots' who will start shooting without a clearly identified threat target. And again, this is just my thought experiment based on my long experience with guns and various people who panic in emergency situations.

The recoil bruised my shoulder,
I have serious doubts they even touched the gun with a statement like this.

Funny, no mention of how we need to restrict the power of true high power weapons, such as the 30-06 deer rifle or magnum loads shotgun. Nope. Don't worry about those. It's the power of the "mighty" recoiling .223 that must be feared.

These people have absolutely no scruples. A conclusion/solution looking for evidence to support. The exact opposite of logic/science/reason.

This same person will call upon a LEO with an AR-15 in the event of trouble. The irony is sickening.

I was telling an anti-gunner this the other day. I said "thank god he didn't have an AK". They had no response because in their limited knowledge, they think an AR is the bad boy on the block.....they I really blow their mind and ask if they've ever shot a 22. Usually they say yes. Really twist their knickers when you tell them an AR shoots basically the same sized bullet. Their mind just can't fathom that.
