You shouldn't be breaking servo horns in flight! Somethings not right. Are you using nuts on the back?

Did replace all the plastic horns last night, flew 3 flights flies great til the 3rd flight hard inverted pull out, the rolled over into a loop and loss elevator, crash into cement, I so tired of fixing this thing. Flies great til I do 3d with it, Replaced it with a blade 180 cfx, see how my luck goes with that. I have a synergy e-5s with almost 700 flights, and a e-7se with 475 flights on it, only thing I do on them is grease the thrust bearing and replaced the head dampers.

You might be over tightening the balls and stripping the thread in the arms.

I have 5 of those little critters. Two original issues, two Pros, and one Plus. All are flying with DCF heads. After hundreds of flights I have not had a servo or servo arm failure. Granted, my flying style is "Old Fart" and I am not bashing them across the sky. They are my reliable little knock-about helis.

I have the 180 cfx now with about 50 flight the only thing I change was metal swash and all metal head, rail blades, what a blast I beat this little to death and I loves it, not one part has broke or wore out. I did do in on the head inverted bent center of head, and all the other crash parts, back flying in less then an hr. So easy to work on. You can pull main shaft out less then 2 mins.

According to trex250 design, it is always better have broken servo horn, instead of broken servos.

Leave as it.
If you try metal servo horn, on next crash you will have nice metal servo horn intact but broken gears servos...

Perhaps it's time to consider moving up to a bigger heli where the parts are more robust?!?

Nop!

Bigger heli, more expensive crashes!

First comes first... Resolve crashes then move to a bigger Helis!

if you got all the big heli's .. why mess with the Trex 250. That heli is plagued.

BTW
when I say bigger, I'm suggesting a 300 or 450 where parts are still relatively cheap but more mechanically sound.

As far as crashes
... if you are it's b/c of mechanic, get a quality heli
....if it's dumb thumb ... SIM more

I switch out my dfc 250, for a blade 180cfx, and a goblin 380, and having a blast in the yard. I do not think the ship is bad I think it the quality of parts I been getting, like blade axles got 2 brand new one missing the hole at ends of it, main shaft come 2 to pack thank got one is always bent, ball links I buy a few packs of the and get maybe 3 good ones the rest are trash, way to loose, I even put all new balls, put any pressure on them they fall off, its back together and will sell it, or put in a little fuse like I did with my 450, and just putt around the yard.
