Cool... the hilman looks better. 20mm tall is not a issue and you should be able to drill and tap easily. I forgot to mention that you will need to take down the goblin shaft lock collar a little so it does not rub on the linkage assembly... you will see what I mean..

It went well. Did not need the collars
The bushings were 12mm ID 15mm OD and 20 mm tall just as the spec sheet said

Mounted one on a sanding wheel and took it down to 14.2 mm that and taking the collar on the goblin shaft down to about 14 mm made it slide in.

You have to take a second bushing and cut a 1 to 0.5 mm washer for spacing. I placed it between the main gear and the top main bearing. That eliminated any vertical slop in the system.

Put the head back on and ran it up on the bench, steady as a rock now.
Next I have to get my Flintstones Flyer up in the air. I'm using a Bavarian Demon Rigid V2, so setup with a SoKo heli tool this week.

TXMikeBG...
How is that mod doing? Have you been able to get it in the air yet? What, if any, issues are you having?

sorry got side tracked with work getting ready for an event in D.C. that's coming up . I did spin up the mechanics last weekend to 50% to check the drive train. It didn't explode. Temps in Texas this weekend are in the 30s so I might not get much done. I can get some work on on the fuse I guess

and yep, there it is
Bad new elevator servo ( it twitches to full neg pitch) Found it during a 80% spin up so i never left the ground. Ordered a new one from Espritmodel. Its a shame it can't be warranty, they only have 30 days, and it takes me more than to get a model done.

Hey Tailkiller

I didn't need the collars and they were way too much for what we are trying to do.

did everything for that with the bushings from Loews

That stinks. There is a lot of force feedback to servos with these mechs. It could happen to any of us and probably will.
