I'll let you know as soon as I get my 350QX. I have flown the Phantom many times so I will have something to compare. The 350QX looks good and is cheaper. Plus I don't really need another transmitter. Chuck

Not sure about the sizes. Hoping they ship soon. I heard on Blades facebook page that they are on the way to Blade. I'll post as soon as I get mine. Chuck

Doesn't the phantom have outputs for stabilizing a camera gimbal or not? I was thinking it did have the ability to do that and I haven't seem anything about that for the new blade 350. I know for sure they don't come with an active camera gimbal just a mount but I thought I saw dji makes a gimbal that plugs in and the phantom will stabilize the camera. Maybe it's an extra controler you have buy. Does anyone know for sure?

Well DJI does make a Gimbal but its about $700.

You can get a brushless gimbal (same thing) with a Marintez card for about $200 and it will shoot super smooth video for a fraction of the cost. Google on ebay and amazon.com

iFlight is one of the more affordable brands.
I love mine.

Cool thing is I have a GoPro foot on the gimbal and I just pull it on and off my copter.

No wires to unplug because its self contained and runs its own battery!

The way to go.

HeliDirect has some coming soon as well.

Well scratch that. Helidirect only has the Zen Muse as of tomorrow. But they do have some other ones coming in that might be more economical.

Here is a mini review I did on the Blade 350QX. I do agree with T-rexn8 on in smart mode it does take a little getting used to. I myself am very pleased with the over all flying on the Blade. I think some will like it and others may not. It will come down to personal preference. Chuck

I got my last night and 20 minutes later it was in the air with DX8 radio and if you are an expert flier smart mode will feel weird but other than that its a great machine i enjoy the return home mode i recommend this. thanks to everyone

Nice review Chuck!
I want to bind up my DX18 to the 350 soon.

I am getting a little more used to my 350 QX and definitely enjoying it. I read through your review thread and noticed the accelerometer calibration posts. Wondering if that is part of what I am seeing when switching between "smart" mode and "stability" mode??

Made a little flight video showing what I am seeing and some flying around.

T-rexn8 mine drops as well when switching to stability mode. I think its because you lose altitude hold. It doesn't climb out very fast in smart mode. I think that is due to the safe settings in the system. Mine climbs out ballistic in stability and agility modes. I'm afraid to try calibration as it is flying very well now. Chuck

Yeah it is actually a pretty nice quad. I will not be mounting a camera on mine but will use it just for fun flying. Bound it to my DX18 and it "feels" much better on the sticks.

Depends what you want out of your quad. The Phantom, as the above reviews state, is more stable and better suited for smooth, dependable flying and does great with photos and video. It seems much larger in the air to me. I never have to question the reliability or quality of my Phantom. My new 350QX died after just a few flights due to a blade snapping in mid air. It is much faster and flips and rolls like crazy. I will not be attaching a camera either. When I get a replacement it will be a sport flyer only.
