T-REX 450L Dominator Super Combo Ė 6S
The internationally popular T-Rex 450 has long been a trend setting helicopter, every enthusiasts probably has owned at least one. It is the ideal model for beginners as well as experts practicing advanced maneuvers. Now the T-Rex 450 evolution continues, as Align drops another shocker into the market; with even more innovative designed incorporated, the brand new T-Rex 450L Dominator.

T-Rex 450L reverses the common impression people have on T-Rex 450, with material integration technology utilized on side frame design, and has features previously found only on larger models, such as battery mounting rails, top mounted motor, 700E DFC type main bearing block with integrated servo mounts, forming striking resemblances to larger contest grade models.

The newly added frame reinforcement plates not only improves helicopterís overall rigidity and anti-torsion characteristics, the beautiful red anodizing also creates highly pleasing aesthetics, further exhibits the T-Rex 450Lís attractiveness and exclusiveness. In addition, the T-Rex 450L cleverly expands on the core concepts of T-Rex 450 Pro designs, to carry on the heritage of its mature design of excellence.

Equipped with the DFC flybarless head assembly, paired with newly designed 3D specific 360 3G main rotor blades that are both stable and agile, improving anti-torsion characteristics and power output during flight, resulting in even better flight stability. Based on 6s voltage, the 460MX (1800KV) motor is tailor made for the T-Rex 450L DOMINATOR. When paired with RCE-BL45X brushless speed controller, the motor has superior efficiency, high power output, extreme torque, and low current, low temperature. As a totem to the 850MX Dominator motor, The 460MX shares the same extraordinary pedigree. Brand new DS430M servos controls the swashplate, with feature such as improved torque and speed, along with double bearing support, resulting in minimal deadband and better longevity.

I wish they would have re-designed the head. It looks like they changed the frame layout as much as possible although the frames of my 450 pros have been bulletproof. Despite countless crashes, it is the only 450 I have owned that hasn't broken a set of frames sooner or later (in a crash of course). Personally, I would have much rather seen other areas improved/changed.

Anyways, I am glad to see they are always trying to evolve the line up. I am sure it will be another winner from Align despite my opinion.

DFC head is perfect. The server layout is changed and like the ESC and the motor is on top. Also like the battery trays. If it still uses 3 cell pack i will have the first week it comes out. I wish it had a carbon push rod.

servo layout is much better, way easier to work on. Not sure that I'm ready to sell my 450DFC to get this but sure was tempted when I first saw this on Facebook this morning. tray loaded batteries is interesting.

looking at the picture it seem like there might be enough clearance to run 350mm blades. that'd be a nice option

I think it has to be a little wider to fit batts in between frames. This would be great to fit in other FBL controllers. Also looks like the wiring will be easer too. I have to stop looking at it.

Just when I get my 450 v123 flying oh so nice!

I swore off having 2 helis of the same size but looks like I'll have to buy one for um, comparative purposes

It figures they were working on something. I've been thinking lately they have been neglecting the 450 side of the house.

I hope there is room between the frames for my skinny 6s packs. That will be the only deal breaker for me.

That would be awesome! The skinny 6s packs aren't exactly common. I hope they dimension the battery area for max versatility.

I went alooking the last few days for the "long" 6S packs there are more and more all the time!

Gens have 2 1200, the Pulse 1300, about 4 from HK, Thunder power now has a 1300 that looks amazing!

I wonder if the L is for Long (longer boom). Also this reminds me of 450L -> 450XL -> 450se -> 450seV2 -> 450 Pro -> 450 Pro v2 -> 450 DFC

I'm running the G8 TP 1300 right now. Just freeking super! I can only get 3 flights in per session usually so I try and make em count. I hope they fit this new Pro.

I'm wondering,, could this be a new design that will move up through the ranks? Will we see a 500 and eventually 600, and 700? I kinda hope so,, I skipped the whole pro chapter, so I'm ready for some upgrades. Be nice to go right to this model format
