the best 600 depends on alot of variables

Do you want nitro, electric or gas ?

How deep are your pockets ?

Do you crash a lot ?

Where do you live ?

Do you have access to a LHS ?

Do you have a flying club in your area ?

6HV!!! I'm a fan of the furion6 and logo600 too but don't know much about them.

Nitro, I like my 3d+ but it's been discontinued :/ worth the pick up if you find one though. Really don't know much about any other 50nitros other then a Velocity 50 v1 I had for a very short time. Nice design not the best quality.

I bought a used Vibe 50 for my first 600 size. I flew with FB for 3 months then went FBL. Just pick one and fly.

It's a shame Mikado never brought out a nitro version of their 600.

No shame at all. By supporting only electric it allows them to design around a single power plant and produce a great product. Designing around multiple power plants just leads to design compromises.

I know some of us notice this topic come up from time to time and cringe, because we've seen it in the past - it brings out the "brand-evangelist" in us and then the thread can sometimes become more of an argument than a conversation. But, if you're concerned about spending your hard-earned money (like me), it's a fair question - in the right context.

The good news: most mainstream helis made today can fly better than most of their owners (mine especially included.) They are also not a 'one size fits all.'

My 2 cents:

Lurk in the forums of the brand(s) that appeal to you the most, and take note of the issues (if any) that owners are dealing with, as well as the things they still love about their heli after seasons of flying it. Then decide if those potential issues are ones that you don't mind dealing with, and if the 'likes' are ones that you really like. Let's face it, if you fly RC helis, you will deal with some issue at some point. Even if it's only, "Hm, what canopy do I want to fly today?"

For the record: Every modern 600E made is on my "wishlist"

Don't tell my wife.

Sounds like you have your mind made up, and the components to.

Just go for it, don't buy some else's heli!

Designing around multiple power plants just leads to design compromises.
That's one of the things I really like about Align, they make a Nitro specific model and an electric specific model. Yet many parts are still interchangeable. That takes the most amount of effort but they get it done.

the question is not> what is the best heli, the question is> what if you buy the heli that is considered the best and you found you don't like the way it feel's in flight, I have flown helis that are considered better than mine but I did not like the way they felt on the cyclic stick

It's a 12S powered bird and is light in weight so doesn't need high headspeeds to do it all.
What does the 6HV weigh these days?

Best 600 heli

Without a doubt the best 600 is Fury 55 or Furion 6 or Logo 600 or Synergy N5c, because I have them and they're all great fun to fly!

I went through this dilemma in spring of last year. I wanted nitro to replace the Rappy 50 I had so I only looked at nitro 50 machines. I wanted a Velocity 50 but kept reading all these horror stories of bad quality and blah blah blah. Looked at everything else but kept coming back to that Velocity. I wanted THAT helicopter. I liked how it looked and it seemed while quality was inconsistent the general consensus was it flew well and was pretty light. I bought a Velocity 50 kit on sale for $300something because the N2 had just came out. It went together with zero problems and has been flown several times a week since, even in the cold snows of winter. Zero problems. Never owned anything this problem free.

Does that mean the Velocity is the best? No, it means you can't just make your decisions based on the opinions of faceless strangers on the internet. It can be a factor but you have to take internet information with a grain of salt. There are people who just parrot what they read. There are people who can somehow break an anvil so everything sucks to them. There are people who are very hard on everything they own so it will break down more quickly for them and they will say it is crap but really they are just hard on equipment. None of it means anything when it comes to YOU and how YOU use something.

Just buy what you want, not what everyone tells you you want or you won't be happy.

The Best 600 to Buy

JASONJ nailed it. You have to go with what appeals to you and fits your budget. You will be happier with it.
