My Posts This: Topic Forum | It has one engine in the front with a belt running the rear rotor. It uses a lot of Shuttle parts for the drivetrain.
The belt is very tight and that's what does the timing so the blades don't hit each other. There are LOTS of linkages that do all of the mixing for the two rotor heads mechanically.
The ones that I've seen fly (two, actually) had three gyros. One each for yaw, roll and pitch.
If you want one, be prepared to drop some serious cash. The last time I looked, the kits were selling for around $1300. Then you need an engine, three gyros, servos, etc. Plus, I understand there are some mods that need to be done (like replace the belt start with the newer top start system).

HOLY SHNIKEES I would be willing to trade a whole lot of trading Or buy (prob the later) (or a little of both) to get one of these (HINT HINT
) but now that I dropped my hints how the heck to they coordinate their rotors and do they have two engines, how do they work their gyros..tons and tons of questions (would love more info) I have a buddy of mine that flies the flying rattling cans of death (sh-46 Seaknight) and know how the full scale helos work but in a minature scale? AMAZING!!!! you know I have seen a ton of different type of heli's in this forum but nothing on this style....
