Good luck finding a heli that doesn't share the same thing as another.

There are only so many ways you can make a rotor head.

and there are many examples of good heads to copy, and then you have the garbage ones. nothing good is to be gained by eliminating swash followers, all but problems related to vibration, resonance and binding control links once the dampeners give a little.

The topic started under the name "Epic Helicopters what do you think" or something similar.

then the OP changed it, and removed the URL/shortcut to their website.

Makes for a confusing thread.

The heli does not appear to me to be anything special, but I am interested in the blades. What do they cost? Where are they made? What sizes do they come in?

I was just wondering what these Epic helis were like if anyone had information about them, and what kind of interest have they generated amoung the rc heli population, the pictures they have up look great, really strong. I beleive they will do blades ya but they are not released yet but they are sexy!!!

In general crown gear equals no for me. Just saying. That has been tested to death and found to be to fragile and way to expensive. Maybe they figured it out, but I doubt it.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

We had the same thought about the crown gear, but much to our disbelief it actually works and takes abuse.

Having smacked the tail blades several times we never once stripped gears but then again we are using a different mod than what has been used in the past.

Cost on the crown gears should be right around $12.99, which is less than the cost of the now more traditional bevel gears.

Just checked the facebook site. The heli in the pic looks pretty nice. Wonder what the price range would be, if its reasonable I wouldnt mind getting a kit.

I didn't see a heli on the FaceBook site. All I have seen so far are just teaser-pics of individual components. I saw a herringbone gear today. I saw a tailcase last week. If there are pictures of the complete helicopter, can you please post them here so that everyone can see them?

Edited
Removed the link upon Epic's request.
From what I gather now, is a OK start. Canopy could use better styling, but what I linked, the MD700, is not to be confuse with the final Epic product.
Sorry about the misunderstanding.

good luck
