Yes you can... I run regular CY 690's on my Stratus and was running the old V2-VBlades 600's on by AHF 50. But then again my flying is nothing brag about. I just fly pattern like an airplane would with a low inverted hover here and there.

Yes you can. I use Radix 600 STD and 710 STD on my Vibe 50, Trex 600n, and Rave ENV and Rave 3D. I also use their FBL blades, but I actually like the feel of the STDs better. The Rave 3D does feel betteto me with FBL blades. If you already have standard blades, try them first and get a feel for them. Nothing unusual will happen. You don't have yo buy FBL blades.

My experience with this is that the FB blades are a lot faster then the FBL blades. I liked the feel on a trex 550.

If you have two sets of blades and think one is FBL and other is not check CG or weight ,FBL blades are heavier and CG is closer to root .If both are same weight and CG then its a guess without markings.

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

Fbl has been around a lot longer than fbl blades. I built my first fbl heli in 2006. Fbl blades have only come into use widely over the past couple years. So yes, fb blades will work just fine on a fbl heli.

FBL blades are smoother, more stable and auto far better than flybarred blades. STD Radix are ok for both although a bit slow on a flybarred heli.

60% of the time, it works every time!

My experience is FB blades fly generally fly fine for sport type flying. When throwing the heli around violently as in hard 3D some FB blades are better than others. As mentioned already, standard Radix blades perform quite well where the original V Blades V2 would go out of track during hard maneuvers.

Just try the blades you are interested in using onyour FBL head. This is the only way to find out how well they will work for you on your heli.

Although I have FBL blades with the same size spec as the normal 3D blades, I do not use them due to slower response. All the Ebar and BeastX machines I have use light 3D blades.

However, I have used FBL blade on NoBar setup when I tested the 3d capability of the Trex700 FB with FB removed just prior to converting it to FBL.

in almost all instances, i prefer regular blades on my vbar setups. other units (3GX specifically) require the stability of FBL blades. but if your FBL unit can handle them, the normal blades really wake up the cyclic response.

if it ain't broke, break it.

i forgot to qualify my *almost.

on my logo i flew edge 623s FBL and FB...preferred the FB.

But, when i tried the Radix 620s (only available in FBL), i prefer them over either of the edge offerings. i supposed if CY made FB 620s i'd prefer them. but, for the time being my logo is on FBL blades.

point being, you gotta try different blades. they all fly a little differently, FBL or not.

if it ain't broke, break it.
