My Posts This: Topic Forum | Add my heartfelt condolances to Ron's family. I didn't know the man but through his posts here, and those, coupled with all the snapshots of experience posted here, paint a picture of the archtypical "good guy". Truly a net loss on the ledger.
To Bill: do take the time to stand down a little, but never let this accident be an excuse to keep you from the hobby. I can't speak for Ron, but I think that he'd want you to keep learning.
I mourn the loss of Scott's innocence as well. He's too young to see just how tenuous a grip we all have on life, but this experience can also show him just how much a helpful, caring person can affect the world, even after death. Many people die each day; fewer are mourned, but the exceptional few cause the kind of gathering of spirit that I've seen here on this forum.
Accidents are always the hardest thing to explain to a kid who'se been raised in the structured environment of a typical family. They expect someone to give them a "cause" for the "effect" since that is what they've been learning all their young lives.
