Cricket video

Hey Guys,
I just saw a video on you tube of John Gorham doing several test flights of the prototype Cricket. Posted by one of our fellow members, JCZANKL, I had never seen this before, thank you.
Now, for all the skeptics out there, including those who claim that Crickets were junk, they didn't fly well at all or could only barely hover, they overheated all the time, etc, etc, take a look at this video and see for yourself. Keep in mind, this was a time BEFORE heli radios, heli engines, heli fuels, gyros, AND experienced help, and in a time when you had to actually finish and balance rotor blades, and glue and paint servo trays and canopies. While not in the same league as today's machines, they did pretty well, in my opinion. This video should be an inspiration to anyone flying or restoring a Cricket. Thanks again JCZANKL for posting it.

You have to be a modeler to make it fly. It took more than bolting the parts together like an Erector set. GMP helicopters is on Facebook. Robert Gorham posts lots of old stills of the company, his father John and himself. He also answers questions posted.
