Blade 300x vs 130x????

130 X has respectable power but the 300 X seems to have a better power to weight ratio and of course better wind resistance.

Nice flying the 300 looks like alot of fun, those wood blades prob wont handle the crashes tho the way my 130 blades do Ive crashed it into my house, bounced off and hit the wood fence then back on its skids, back in the air WOW.....maybe if i could stop crashing Id get a 300

If you already have a v2 mcpx I don't really see the point of getting a 130x. You can learn all the basic 3d moves, over grass,with a mcpx ~problem-free.

I've ordered a 300x (it should get here early next week). I know this is not going to be as crashable as my mcpx though, lol!

I flew a 300X today. Flew GREAT - solid tail. It's a LOT bigger than the 130, twice the size. It's close to a 450 size heli. It's a great deal with that 7200BX gyro/RX in it.

Bounced my 130X into the ground a couple times today, no real damage. I was practicing piro-flips (1/2 at a time) and just froze my brain up. flipped it back on the landing gear and finished the pack up.

The way I see this 130X for a great indoor flyer that is capable of outdoor flying. 300X for a great outdoor small heli that can be flown indoors.

The way I see it is that the 300x is a 'real' heli and the 130x, like the mcpx, is a nice 'training' heli.

I fly my BL mcpx and 130x in my yard. I go to my flying field with my 450 and gasser heli's and the 450 never gets used. For me the 300 is in the same class as the 450. 130x is not in my mind.
But I have no doubt the 300 is an excellent heli.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

The 300 is such a better flying helicopter and will just get better when the carbon blades come out.

I increased the "pitch pump" type feature and the flying style or whatever it's called and collective response is much better as well as cyclic response.

Wrong. I got almost 100 flights from my stock plastic A gear. The tail can easily be fixed up with an $8 set of bearings and BALANCING the blades, which so many people are just too lazy to do. And, make sure the tail hub is square with the tail shaft. If it isn't, get Horizon to send you them until you get one that is square. Ain't that hard...

The 300 is "oh so perfect" and needs nothing? Yeah, right. How about those flexing main frames that allow the forward link to get chewed up by the motor? Or the main shafts mysteriously breaking in two in flight? Or all the unexplained vibes people are having? Or the fact that you can't run greater than 75% throttle out of the box with the woodies when it was perfectly fine to do so on the larger 450 3D? Like it or not, the 300 has quite a few problems of its own.

LOL my 300 is perfect. Been flying it at 100% throttle, while my 130 continues to go down in flight due to mechanical issues or maybe now a servo problem...

No way are you the only one to get 100 flights out of a plastic gear. I work and repair these at a large Hobby Shop and every 130X sold has had the bear replaced. Some people are lucky to get 6 flights out of it. Are you sure its plastic? I have heard of a few being replaced before they were sold. As for the question it is what is the better choice and the 300 for the small difference in cost is a no brainer. Why should have to buy new bearings for a new heli? And why should you need to get new parts from HH for a new heli? Out of dozens of 300s sold we haven't had one bad one! But we have has several 130s not work right out of the box. I'm glad your is perfect but it is one of the few.

It is unfortunate that the 130x has had some teething problems as mine had. It is also unfortunate that many who bought it as a Bind an Fly found out it wasn't out of the box. I have resolved the tail problems on my 130x with the metal A gear and bearings. Yes it was irritating that I had to tear it apart even before the first flight. But as with any heli I balanced the main and tailblades too. I have I would guess about 50 flights on it now with all the same gears. The tail vibs are all but gone and I am very impressed with it. I think comparing the 130x to the 300 isn't possible as they are in very different size classes.
It is simply what size suites the area you will fly it the most. Where I fly most [in my yard] my 450 is too big but I have done it many times and the 300 would be the same. For me the 130x is the perfect size and fly's really great.

I'll 2nd that - I bough the metal A gear but haven't installed it yet. I did a number of bounces last weekend including one hit off a cement driveway and still no damage. the rear tail gear is spinning on the drive shaft now so I'll have to replace that but it's amazing what this thing can put up with.

Honestly though I don't think you can compare one to the other - they are two different class heli's. The 300 is larger than a Trex-250 and the 130 is quite a bit smaller. To put it in perspective the 130X uses a 2S 300MAH battery and the 300X uses a 1350MAH 3S pack - So buy both!

Yup...read it and weep...

And, when re-reading it, should you choose to do so, you'll discover I made no such claim of getting 100 flights from my stock plastic A gear...

Hmmm...I never had any bears in my 130 X chewing up things so maybe that's why my plastic gear lasted so long...

the 300X is a really good deal and the short time I've spent on the sticks flies great. but if you are flying inside a basketball court the 130X is going to be a lot more comfortable. Also I stripped the tail gear by dropping the heli into the grass under full power and chicken danced it for a second or two. Only damage was the tail gear. I doubt the 300 will be that forgiving. 130X does have some problems and I've seen at least one that had a major problem on the tail vibs right out of the box that didn't go away (that one went back to the hobby shop I think) but most of them have been good out of the box. I don't think you'll go wrong with either.
