I lightly damaged my Stratus last week and dug the tail into the ground. It needed a new crown gear and both the tail gears. The broken tail gears were the original grey plastic ones and I've replaced them with the re-designed metal and delrin versions.
Took it for a fly today and it worked fine apart from when I did full stick left pirouettes - when doing this I got quite a bit of chattering noise. The noise must be coming from either the crown gear to tail take-off, or the back end gears.
Which is most likely, and what should I look to do to correct it, as in go tighter gear mesh or looser?
