I saw that the instruction photos showed a torque tube.

Yes, the torque tube design as shown in the N5c manual has been dropped due to crown gear issues.

There is a good chance the E5 TT system will be adapted to the N5c in the future. The E5 TT system uses a smaller tail box and tail gears than the E6/7 version.

The belt TR system on the N5c is the best belt system I've ever flown and I've flown a boatload of them. I'm very happy with and and when I crash it will be cheaper to repair. This thing auto's great with this belt

I'm not one who's fond of changing torque tube gears when you land in long grass and hit a clump of dirt! I am liking this belt very much thank you !!!

I am happy with the belt. I had a bad auto when there was no wind and it was hard to pull the heli up and I hit the tail fin still flaring and broke it but the tail blades and all the belt drive stayed in tact.

I do like my E7 with the TT too
